DM'ing a bunch of hardcore FR's PCs normally, I figured I'd introduce them to Eberron, a setting which I enjoy. I think E gives DM's more control and room than the average FR game, where many players know the parties better than their PC's really should. So, to that end, it might be handy to bank a list of one-shot intro ideas. Here are two;

1. In the Mror holds, House Kundarak hires the PC's to explore an abandoned and very early House Orien mine-transit. Orien quickly shut the mine and left the premises. The PC's find that the mine shaft broke into a ancient goblin ruin, that holds much evidence of necromantic experimentation. Was Orien doing something they shouldn't have been doing, or did they stumble upon a secret to great for them?

2. The PC's were a young spec ops team for some nation, and saw war machines of unknown origin while fighting in Cyre right before the great incident. Now agents from House Sivis want to gather info on those machines, and ask the PC's to enter the Mournland to recover evidence/schema/rubbings from these machines.

I'm thinking of ideas that are light on intrigue but heavy on E flavor, something suitable for 3-5 hours of play for 1st timers. Thanks!
