Do you use the Breland Ledger? Ideas, Suggestions. [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-12-05, 11:33 AM I'm curious how many of you guys actually read the Breland Ledger for Eberron Updates across the fandom.

I'm also wondering how much the Breland Ledger actually misses. I personally cant keep track of everything, and unfortunatly not everyone contacts us with updates either.

I wanna know if you enjoy the current updates at the Ledger, and if there are any more sites we need to keep track of?

Let me know how we can improve the Ledger. I want more of you to use it, AND our chatroom.

For example, should we have a forum? Personally, I feel a forum (if run properly) can be great because it allows for discusson of some things discouraged here (such as novels, and or more adult discussions of the grey moral lines of alignment, or religious topics). How many of you would come to such a forum with any regularity?
Would you want such a forum to have space for all your favorite fan sites? (Would you want all the fansites under one forum with a section for each, or do you think each site should have their own?)

10-12-05, 11:52 AM I really like both the Breland Ledger and the Eberron Journal. My only wish for the Breland Ledger is an RSS feed so I can put it on my Google home page. Part of the reason I like the Brealnd Ledger so much is that it's very easy to read (the Korranberg Chronicle makes me want to tear my eyes out).

10-12-05, 12:48 PM I used to read the Ledger every day, but later on there just wasn't enough news to hold interest (partly because I read the forum equally religiously).

Although after the add for reporting on DDO I'll be active in both reading and sending news.

We do allow mature discussions... over on the mature forums. We just don't allow real world politics as every single thread has ended in a flame war, and a couple of times it's spread to other threads/boards.

Now for the wet blanket part- it feels to me a bit... "wrong" going to one website and asking if people would go to another one. The plea comes across as "Let's leave this place and go elsewhere."

It would be like me going to other fan sites and saying "Hey, this place is great, but for the OFFICIAL discussions, go to the OFFICIAL boards."

Nobody here is against fan sites, but we don't allow polls/surveys/other site developments to take place on this one.
