Somethign I've noticed reading the ECS is the recurring theme of the number 13.
The original dragonmarks, the planes that orbit the material, the original nations of Khorvaire - and interestingly the number of spells listed under the possible Aberrant Dragonmarks. Has anyone thought of incorporating this into the Draconic prophecy? SOme sort of hidden bible code? I've been toying with the idea of groups of aberrant dragonmarks getting together to form a new House in the campaign. Perhaops the aberrant dragonmarks are a contingency plan?

Any thoughts?

The key grouping, in fact, seems to be "twelve, plus a thirteenth that is missing/destroyed/lost". Unfortunately, Search still seems to be down, but when it's back, you'll be able to find a number of large threads in which this particular bit of mythology in discussed at length, in excruciating detail. :)

Thanks - I'd looked for a search function but not spotted one. Shoulda guessed it'd be a well-chewed can of worms! :)

The Aberrant Dragonmarks have formed a "House" of sorts that is discussed further in Sharn: City of Towers. I'm sure I've misspelled the name, but the aberrant marks are rallying in and around Sharn as their ancestors did.

The problem with trying to use the number 13 as a "bible code" would seem that in the recent Dragonshards article about the Draconic Prophecy that it's not actually written anywhere and to use it would require years of writing. Also, I saw a post that talked about other planes coming into play in the first adventure of the Mark of Heroes...so there are more than 13 planes that interact with Eberron.
