| DBlizzard02-15-07, 07:32 PM | My Dragon came in the mail yesterday, but I just got a chance to look at it tonight. The Eberron Dragonmarks article is "Manifestly Strange" written by Amber E. Scott. This article gives us 3 previously unmentioned (as far as I know) manifest zones in Eberron. All three have an encounter table with encounters tied to the manifest zone. "Fantaran Hot Springs" is a manifest zone to Fierna set in Droaam. The specialness focuses on giving bonuses to fire oriented magic item creation. "Ivory Mountain" is a manifest zone to Dolurrh set in Q'Barra. Nothing really unexpected with this manifest zone. "Ruins of Pelmarane" is a Thelanis manifest zone set in the Demon Wastes. The location is the oddity here, being a rakshasa's ruined castle. It used to collect plants and the article debates which caused which. This issue the Forgotten Realms article outweighs the Eberron significantly. Dragonmarks is 4 pages, the same as last issue. Volo's Guide is 9 pages, covering various Realms outsiders. There is a sidebar on using the outsiders in other campaigns that mentions which planes they reside in on Eberron (Harmonious Choir of the Words are in Syrania, Slivers are found in Thelanis, Black Beasts of Bedlam are found inn Kythri, Death Devils are in Dolurrh and Umbral Glooms are in Mabar). That's about the only direct Eberron content in the issue. |
