Alright, so let's look at this . . . . The requirements for Dragon marked Heir lists skill ranks of 7, and two feats. Fourth level is required for that many skill ranks and by that point you would be able to have both feats if you use all (or most in some cases) by that point. Assuming neither of the feats need any pre-requisites that means the soonest one could gain DgH level 1 is fifth level.
By extrapolation, the prereq (or part of) for Lesser Dragonmark requires something that only a sixth level or higher character can attain. Part of me wants to say that it might be as simple as saying that the requirements might be having the Least Dragonmark and character level six, like the Leadership feat, but I'm going to hope at this point that it's something else.
Also by taking Dragonmarked Heir to fourth level you get the Greater Dragonmark . . . as early as character level 9. To further the theory. I assume that Greater Dragonmarks are reserved for those of levle 10-12, my money is on 12.
Of course, I could be completely off base here. But, Whether I'm right or wrong it's been a fun excersize of the mind.
And your thought on Favored in House is an intriguing one, William, but incorrect. Any other guesses?
Hmm . . . well then if I'm wrong I guess i'll just change the name of the feat I just designed, and offer it up as my first Eberron homebrewed feat. I think that once the ECSB comes out and i can do a little tweaking, that it has the potential to be balanced.

Sure, just call it "Dragonmark Prodigy" or something like that. One clue on Favored in House is that your idea refers to the impact the house has had on the character, not that the character has on the house.

Hmm . . . .

The only thing I can get from that is FiH Might be something that gives the character some sort of Elite status within the House . . . they aren't just in the House, they aren't just Dragonmarked. . . why they're Favored in House. They're the blue-bloods of the Dragonmarked Houses.

FiH characters probably gain bonuses with Charisma based skills when dealing with members of their House. An ability that could stack well with the Dragonmarked Heir's House Status ability.

Well . . if a DMH can get it at fifth, and regular characters at six, possibly the spell-like abilities gained are equilavelt to some 3rd level spells. For example, The Lesser Mark of Healing, able to cast Cure Serious wounds 1/day. Also, the skill Bonus raised to +4

To continue this theory further, the skill bonus for a Greater Mark would be +6, and the spell-like abilities would be equivalent of a fifth level spell. For the example Halfling . . . the Greater Mark could potentially have Mass Cure Light Wounds 2/day. I say twice a day, because aside from the DMH, characters would need to wait until level 12 to get the ability, thata cleric could have 3 levels sooner.
