| Jason_Sunday05-18-04, 09:06 PM | Well, I just finished reading my June dragon. And the dragonmarks rock!! The Dragonmarked Heir prestiege class made me think, what if their was a chosen one? Kinda like Anakin from star wars. Could an usually powerful dragonmark exist? Would this person be on the side of good or evil? Would he/ she be the next Vader? Maybe a almost forgotten prophecy comes to pass when a child starts to develop powers not seen in centuries. Who would not want this child under their control. Or for some better dead. What do you all think? Good idea or bad. Would it work for Eberron? :smirk: |
| deClench05-18-04, 09:42 PM | Great idea. I hadn't thought about it that way, but you could draw some interesting parallels with Star Wars. |
| fourmyle05-18-04, 10:09 PM | Heck yeah it would work for Eberron. Great idea that I may well steal if one of my players wants to be Dragonmarked. Think of the plot threads...hunted by who knows what because he's prophesied to bring and end to/start who knows what, hounded/pushed by his own House to be the best, or perhaps neglicted, unknown, and overlooked, only to come into his full power to his surprise and everyone elses...yeah, could be very cool. |
| Jason_Sunday05-18-04, 10:35 PM | I also had an idea that was original for my Star Wars game that might work here too. What if this Dragonmarked "chosen" could not control this power? And his power would constantly build up (Dragonball Z style) until it would explode out of his body causing damage to all around and the build up again. But with continually more power each time. And just to be evil make him a 5 year old kid. :smirk: |

But then you'd have to create some Uber-BBEG that continually smacks your hero down until said hero can finally gain the awesome strength -- after witnessing all his friends being decimated and perhaps even dying himself once or twice -- to overcome and save the day in about 100 epic gaming sessions that actually only span about 5-10 minutes in the game setting. I don't see why that wouldn't work. :pile: |

Also like Anakin, he could be a good kid and possibly, one day the galaxies most hated villian, like Vader. Or he could be the savior. Depending how the game goes, or my evil plans. The DBZ reference is because it just looks cool.:D :ayyyy!: |
