Dragonmarked House scions of incorrect race? [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-04-06, 09:32 PM Are house members of the wrong race (for instance: half-elf children of Phiarlan or Deneith parents) accepted as members of the house or are they cast out (or something else)? I know they wouldn't be able to manifest the mark of their "house," but they could always help with more mundane house duties. What's the score?

01-04-06, 10:33 PM According to the ECS, there are half-elf, and even half-orc, members of the human or elven (in the case of half-elves) Houses. They may never manifest a Mark (unless its an Aberrent (sp?) one), but in Business, Family follows the 17th Rule: You don't have to pay relatives minimum wage. :)
