Dragonmarked Houses [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-12-04, 02:05 PM I need a little help with the guilds of certain houses.

1) House Medani, Warning guild = personal protection

2) House Kundarak, Warding guild = building security

3) House Deneith, Defenders Guild = Protection

My main question is protection of what ?, i think the top 2 guilds have the bases covered what do you think protection means ?

Help would be appreciated

07-12-04, 02:30 PM While Medani's powers help find threats and Kunarak's defenses can protect your stuff, sometimes it's nice to have some hired House Deneith muscle around when things get ugly.

Seeing as house medani offers bodyguards and kundarak offers location protection what else is their ?

07-12-04, 09:30 PM Defnders guild as I read it is more about buffing spells then anything else. Of course regular dragonmarked members have shield other and other protection like spells, and the house description specifically mentions wizards in the defenders guild.

07-21-04, 05:06 PM I just started running a game where the main character of the story is from House Deneith and the campaign revolves around the development of a new company in the house that will work with the Wayfayers Guild to set up a safe route between Sharn and Xendria. This being said, I figured the three different guilds in the House offered the following services:

Defender's Guild: City or countrywide protection in the form of small (or large) armies. Remember that it is the failings of House Deneith that caused the massive humanoid uprising that ended with the creation of Darguun.

Blademark's Guild: Personal protection in the form of thugs

Sentinel's: Khovarre wide police force akin to a U.S. Marshall during the Wild West of America's past.

At least, that's how I see it.
