| Edymnion01-06-05, 05:22 PM | Now that another 13 Dragonshards are available has anyone gotten around to PDFing them yet?No, and the last time someone brought it up, WizO_Paradox came in and pretty much made it clear that its a BAD idea. Essentially, the dragonshards are still under copyright, and only WotC may distribute them. The legal department will tear a new one in anybody they catch PDF'ing and distributing the dragonshard articles. |
| Okami01-06-05, 05:23 PM | Not that they'd want to admit to on here. you saw the last thread.. right? Ok.. I see I was beaten to the punch.. yeah what he said! :D There is always the option of just printing them off if you need them, or do as all great gamers do and DIY. |
| Edymnion01-06-05, 05:27 PM | Yeah, THIS THREAD. From Doxxie, and I quote:You should all be made aware that this thread is in violation of copyright laws. All material posted on the Wizards of the Coast website is protected under Copyright laws. As written permission was NOT obtained this thread will be closed. Do not restart it, or one similar. Do NOT distribute any material that is in violation of Copyright laws. This is a very serious matter and should not be ignored. If there are any questions, feel free to email me. Requests for such information will also be removed. If you want the articles, visit the website. If you want the articles to continue, don't do this again. (And most certainly if you don't want to get a nasty Legal Letter with a lawsuit attatched, don't distrubute copyright material.) As far as I know, this is as far as it go. I may or may not be wrong on that. However, you should be made aware that WotC IS aware of this thread and wants this sort of activity stopped. |
| The White Sorcerer01-06-05, 05:34 PM | What WotC should do, is put 12 issues in one volume, skip an issue, put 12 issues in the next volume, skip an issue, etc.. Then, when they have 12 "missing" issues, release them as the mysteriously resurfacing volume 13. |
| Okami01-06-05, 05:48 PM | There is so much valuable content in the articles it would be nice to have an official pdf released. From my understanding there is nothing wrong with saving the shards to pdf.. its the redistribution of it in any form that is in violation. Hopefully plans for a downloadable archive are on the way :) |
| Isran_Imrador01-06-05, 05:59 PM | Well, if you download them from the site they are PDFs... What WotC should do, is put 12 issues in one volume, skip an issue, put 12 issues in the next volume, skip an issue, etc.. Then, when they have 12 "missing" issues, release them as the mysteriously resurfacing volume 13. YES |
