| Takasi08-20-04, 10:20 AM | Check out the Breland Ledger to see the cover of Dungeon 115: http://breland-ledger.blogspot.com/ |
| Hanuman4708-20-04, 12:20 PM | Nice pic. I love the expression on his face and the rough cast look to his "skin." The only thing I don't care for are his eyes - they look like the lenses from a traffic light! I'd prefer mystical sparks. |
| Edymnion08-20-04, 12:51 PM | Hmmm... seems to be a combination of paper mache, and CGI. The head looks real, but the neck and body look CG. |
| Bluebrush08-20-04, 04:22 PM | Looks a little like Plasticine to me. Is anyone getting Wallace and Grommit flasbacks? |
| ieattrollsforbreakfast08-20-04, 04:28 PM | I think its great, though its eyes do look too much like traffic lights, as hanuman pointed out. |
| Megatron08-20-04, 05:22 PM | That's probably one of the ugliest I've ever seen warforged depicted. I don't like it at all, but the eyes especially ruin it. |
| Takasi08-20-04, 05:31 PM | Well, to be fair Eberron warforged always look better than Ebberon warforged. :P |
| Ch@pel08-20-04, 11:24 PM | ^ ? |

| Rauol_Duke08-21-04, 12:51 AM | I got it...I think:confused: |
| Save_vs_DM08-21-04, 01:11 AM | I hate to say it, but gawd that's ugly! I totally get teh Wallace and Gromit flashbacks (was it done by Nick park?) Cheers, Save vs DM |
| Rajorke08-21-04, 01:18 AM | i think both dragon and dungeon have a problem with their covers its always one lone figure. i dont know about the rest of you but thats not really the feel of dnd i wanna see a scence from the adventure inside dungeon on the covers not some sexy pose of a npc from the adventure, anybody else remember the old days of dragon and dungeon when the covers gave you inspiration of an adventure before you even opened the mag? |
| JohnnyONeal08-21-04, 10:39 PM | It's not my favorite. If you're going to do a CG-style image, I'd like to see something more complex. In this case, it makes it look more like a robot than a warforged... an organic feel is the important distinction, you know? i think both dragon and dungeon have a problem with their covers its always one lone figure. i dont know about the rest of you but thats not really the feel of dnd i wanna see a scence from the adventure inside dungeon on the covers not some sexy pose of a npc from the adventure, anybody else remember the old days of dragon and dungeon when the covers gave you inspiration of an adventure before you even opened the mag?I hadn't thought of that before, but it's a good point. I get that one figure is high-impact and stands out more on the stands, but having an actual scene is much more evocative. |
| Rauol_Duke08-22-04, 09:52 AM | The cover of the current Dungeon #114 is a group action shot. I like it. |
| Galen_Michael08-22-04, 03:04 PM | Originally posted by Takasi Well, to be fair Eberron warforged always look better than Ebberon warforged. :P I believe Takasi is perhaps referencing Dungeon #113 in which the editors misspelled Eberron (2 Rs) as Ebberon (2 Bs) three times - twice on the cover, and once on Page 17 ("Ebberon Dungeon Crawl")? |
