| Guide D'Jorasco07-04-05, 07:41 PM | I am new to the Wizards of the Coast Eberron message boards, but I would like to state that I am a huge Eberron enthusiast and have been following it from teaser to all the releases. I would like to say hello to all the Eberron Enthusiasts out there and invite you all to a guild known as, "The Explorers of Eberron." We are a guild dedicated to bringing a true and fun role playing experience to Dungeons and Dragons online, without the hassel and constant "work" required from other guilds. We are a close knit group and hope to expand this group with the right people. Of course DND Online has not been released yet, but we are trying to establish a good following and relationships with all the members, so that we can jump right into the game. If you are interested in joining us, or just learning more, please go to: http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=34577&TabID=308112 Check out the forums and wonder around if you like. The guild will be expanding and a possible website created for the members. If you so choose to join, please create an account at Guild Portal and request permission to join. When you do, please note that Guide D'Jorasco forwarded you here, so that I can become a welcomer for whoever joins and help make our guild a wonderful place to play the timeless game of Dungeons and Dragons. Thanks alot for taking the time to hear me out, and I look forward to meeting you all. Sincerely, Guide D'Jorasco *Explorers of Eberron Ambassador/Cartographer* |
| AlDaRoN Arg07-05-05, 07:18 AM | I'm still wondering what DDO has to do with Eberron besides warforged... There will be no psionics, missing core races, setting races, core classes and the list go on. |

| Guide D'Jorasco07-05-05, 05:19 PM | and extensions mean more money to pay... no thank you.. Whether you choose to play DDO or not, it's going to be the first Dungeons and Dragons Online game yet, set on the continent of Xendrik. The main city (not sure if only) will be Stormreach. You can learn more about Stormreach on Pp. 223 in the Eberron Campaign Setting. As to reply to your quote Jacman, you have to understand the time and creation involved in a "live" game. If you were a programmer, like myself, you would come to understand the work involved in actually getting a game like DDO up and running, and then constantly adding things to keep the players interest. I agree that you have more money to pay, but you have to compare and contrast the cost and gain. If you are an Eberron enthusiast and love Dungeons and Dragons, as well as computer gaming, it may be for you. The reason the guild, Explorers of Eberron, was created was to make a players experience that of the table top game, and better. Everyone understands that MMROPG cost money to play, but it's an ongoing game, not a linear, once shot (maybe a few different endings) game. MMROPG's will always cost money, no matter what form they take, monthly or just buy the expansions. It's required to fund the workforce. So I hate to say it, but if you want to enjoy a game like DDO, you have to always pay for updates so that the game can have the backing to become better. |
