| Chaos_Kitten03-26-05, 11:39 AM | Elemental Liberation Front Having massive protest at lightning rail stations. Or perhaps taking a note from PETA and throwing paint on magical armors. Since they're low level they'd just hide in bushes, wait for some guy with a magical sword to come by, and tackle him. Then they would just run away as fast as they could with the weapon. They're determined to free the elementals of the world from cruel bondage. I think this would actually be a fun element in a campaign. Though I like my games to be at least a little silly by nature. I guess that's why some people run in fear when i'm around. |

| Siberys03-26-05, 12:04 PM | :P Sorry, too late. Already been done. O.G.R.E. (Organization for the Growth and Rehabilitation of Elementals). See the letters of Dragon issue 327 for the letter. |

I guess that's why some people run in fear when i'm around. That works, although I await the day that somebody tries to toss paint on to a Medusa for having an elemental bound ring. It would be akin to the reason that PETA doesn't harrass the Hells Angels about wearing leather. |
| Crimsonsun03-27-05, 09:02 AM | A gnome sits on the ground in the alley near a tavern in Sharn. A large sign attacked to a stick is near him propped against the wall. Written on it in fine, precise common are the letters E, L, and F. In a shaky scrawl, the letters A and N was painted on in red. The gnome appears drunk. If you ask him about the sign, he babbled on about how his shop was closed due to protests by some humans who were against his binding elementals to Lyrandar ships. He says the signs is his new organization "Absolutely No Elemental Liberation Front. Total membership: one!" As he says this, he falls over onto the ground. He is asleep, and it appears beginning to drool... An Elf :D Yes, im twisted |

| cmanos03-28-05, 01:53 PM | This was the first thing I thought of when I heard of the setting utilizing bound elementals to run ships and trains. |
| Talon Blackhart03-29-05, 09:22 AM | Very interesting concept... Definitely of interest to one of my players, who has decided that he is so morally opposed to the binding of elementals that he refuses to use any magic that has a bound elemental. This will create some good roleplaying issues in game, I imagine... I can imagine all sorts of fun things with this, though. Protests at the train station, people chaining themselves to the airships, other amusing things to inconvenience the PCs. |
