The planet's name is Eberron.

Syberis is the name of the sky above.
Eberron is the name of the ground.
Khyber is the name of the world below.

The setting takes place mainly on the continent of Khovaire.

I also have to add this in:

You really should buy the book, as you abviously haven't. If you have bought the book, you should read it. Thouroughly.

I had the same question after I had read though the book, and almost posted it myself. But, I stopped and thought about it, and realized what the answer was.

Anyway, I wouldn't rule this out as a completely clueless question. It probably is, but its not without precident.

thanks guys.
i don't have the book, and have no intention to buy it, but i needed the world name for a project i'm working on. after all, the greyhawk setting is on the world of oerth, not greyhawk, so i wouldn't have guessed eberron was the name of both the planet and the game setting too. anyways, thanks again.

Yeah, I was originally expecting it to be called something else too, just on account of, well, calling the setting Eberron and the world Eberron just makes too much sense...

what kind of a project needs to know the name of a world in a fantasy setting but not the details of the setting

"...having released many and varied settings such as Forgotten Realms, set on some planet blue doesn't know the name of, greyhawk, set on Oerth, Eberron, set on a planet of the same name, it is clear the influence this had had on modern muffin cooking and salesmanship in easter..."

If it were a news article, you don't think he woulda just emailed WotC instead of registering a profile and then asking the question, do you?

My guess would be a middle school research paper. Maybe an early high school one.

the "project" is the chosen warrior backstory for my mortal kombat PrC's that'll be posted on the dnd boards in the next few days.
