| Mythos_Creature12-02-04, 02:33 PM | Alright, I'll probably get flamed or sued for posting this, but I feel it warrants a post none-the-less. This was spawned by an Eberron gaming session in which our group tried to sell a stolen jeweled breastplate, matching sword and scabbard. Transcript; Us - "Can we sell this stuff to a local merchant." DM - "No. Any merchant in this town is too poor to pay out the gold the set is worth. You could take it to Sharn." Me - "This is bunk, I'm gonna eBay this crap..." (Slight Pause when realization hits...this is what came of it.) ________________________________________ _________________________ eBerray Three took a step forward, jutting an adamantine finger at the board. “What about this one Kellis? It bears an arcane mark.” The House Sivis message board shook slightly from the powerful jab of the Warforged, as did all things Three touched. Kellis moved forward, nodding approvingly. “Looks sound, but does it have flaming? Farmuul is a were-creature, covered in fur. I want flaming before we head back to his tower.” Kellis moved his eyes down the page. As they reached the bottom, he gasped. “Look at the shipping! Forget it, find one from a different seller.” Delyra, the only female in the party, stretched a lithe arm towards another piece of parchment. “This one has flaming and is keen. It also offers shipping through the Kundarak OpenVault.” Kellis shifted down the board, nearly tumbling over a small Sivis scribe that was tacking up another listing. Cursing his poor eyesight, the changeling slowly read the words on the paper - thankful the seller had paid to have the listing translated into common. “No good. See how poorly constructed the sentences are? It’s probably some Goblin trying to pawn a stolen item, or worse, no item at all.” “Ironic, coming from you…” Delyra’s half-wolf eyes poured over Kellis with a cruelty and mistrust only found in the pupils of a shifter. Kellis ignored the glare and remained focused on the board, reading and summarizing the listings aloud. “Already too high.” “Not silver.” “Ooh! A repeating crossbow arm! Three, you could use this!” Three just shook his head and continued to watch the changeling move about, furiously flipping through the inches-thick layers of parchment on the board. Some papers had images, others blinked like the stars in the night sky, but none were apparently what Kellis was searching for. Three felt a light tap on the rear of his left thigh, and turned. He focused his glowing green eyes on a small Gnome scribe, gently rapping his legs with a staff. “Excuse me, new listing.” Three stepped aside and watched the Gnome tack a piece of parchment to the board. It glittered with the alluring brilliance that only dancing lights could produce. With a slight whir, Three’s eyes focused and absorbed the delicately scrawled words on the page. Without a word, Three pulled Kellis, by the edge of his cloak, and placed the changeling inches before the paper. Kellis also read the listing, a wry smile spreading across his lips. Without a sound, Kellis strode across the message house floor to the desk where a Gnomish scribe looked at him quizzically. “I’d like to place a bid…” ________________________________________ _________________________ The Idea – Combining the strengths of House Sivis and House Kundarak, adventurers no longer have to find a large enough town to sell their goods, nor do they have to search high and low to find an item they desire. They can sell items, buy items or even trade items – all in the exciting new Eberron marketplace, eBerray. Using House Kundarak’s amazing control of finance and magical transportation between banking centers, and House Sivis’ unrivaled messaging and authentication capabilities, eBerray is a marketplace that all in Khorvaire can enjoy. It allows merchants and adventurers alike to maximize their financial gains and it allows rare collectors to find what they seek for the right price. Founded by a group of retiring adventurers after much deliberation with House Kundarak patriarch Baron Morrikan d’Kundarak and House Sivis doyenne Lysse Lyrriman d’Sivis to ensure both houses would profit, eBerray has exploded beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. For a minimal fee, adventurers trying to sell loot from a dungeon can list what they have for sale and get the most gold for their items. Others, perhaps trying to survive the dangers of Xen’Drik, can ensure they get the right gear for the mission. Like the words scrawled above each eBerray message board say – “You’ll find it here…” The Mechanics – A seller wishing to sell an item begins by first going to a House Sivis/House Kundarak eBerray station. There are stations being erected in all House Sivis and House Kundarak locations, and there are plans to build collaboratively owned locations in many provinces. The seller begins the simple process by having a House Kundarak scribe post a listing by paying the fees found in table 1-1. The listing can be enhanced with additional options, all available at low costs to the seller, also found in table 1-1. The enhancements include adding Dancing Lights to the parchment to attract buyers, using Prestidigitation to cause blinking lights or sounds on the parchment to alert potential buyers to a great deal…even going to so far as to use Silent Image on the parchment to offer rotating views of the item for sale. The most desired enhancement is an Arcane Mark, which proves the seller has had the item inspected by a House Sivis mage and is verified to be represented correctly. All of these are enhancements that a seller can use to attract a potential buyer. Once a listing is prepared and the listing fees are paid, House Sivis sends a broadcast Message to all eBerray stations - which is translated into parchments and tacked to a wall. The parchments remain up as long as the item is still for sale or being bid on, and with the explosion of eBerray, there are usually an enormous amount of parchments on any eBerray board. Potential buyers can view all the listings, heeding the additional enhancements or not and making judgment calls from the listing itself, then, should the item suit them, make a bid or purchase it. There are fees associated with purchasing and bidding, to pay for the use of the House Sivis messaging system, and those fees are located in table 1-2. Bidding can become quite expensive with the bidding fees, so the thrifty buyer often places one bid at the maximum they are willing to spend. Placing a bid automatically updates the listing with the most current price and the bidding fee covers the expense of placing updates to the listing at all eBerray locations. The seller can leave the listing up for a pre-determined length of time, usually less than a week, and view all bids placed on the listing by going to any eBerray station and using their identification papers and an authentication password. If the item has sold, they contact the buyer and finalize the deal by shipping the item through any number of venues. The seller may also post the listing with a ‘simple purchase’ option. Should the buyer desire the item immediately, they can just pay the listed price and obtain the item. The buyer incurs the fees for a ‘simple purchase’. For a small fee, House Kundarak has constructed something they refer to as the OpenVault, a magical vault accessible to all using eBerray. The seller deposits the item in the OpenVault with their identification papers and creates a password that they then pass onto the buyer. The buyer can enter any House Kundarak banking center, use their papers and the password to retrieve their item. It is the most desired method of shipping as there is little on Khorvaire more secure or fast. It is not the only method of shipping. As listed in Table 1-3, a buyer has many options available to them. All options are relatively secure and protected with identification paper authentication and passwords, but all buyers should beware…there are some in the world that seek to defraud. The Rules - There are contracts to sign with listing an item, ensuring that the seller is representing the item correctly and does indeed have the item. If these basic rules are broken, the individual and their identification papers are flagged and a small task force is assigned to find the rule-breaker. If they are not found, the task force simply moves to the next flagged individual, as there are many fraudulent sellers. Should that fraudulent individual attempt to sell on eBerray again with the same identification papers, they are arrested on the spot. Bidding on an eBerray item is a contract, although bid retractions are allowed at an exorbitant price, it is greatly frowned upon. Buyers that fail to make payment are also flagged by their identification papers, but are not tracked down. They are simply denied bidding or purchasing when they attempt to use the eBerray marketplace again. Nearly all payments are transferred through the House Kundarak banking centers for a nominal fee. It is fast and secure, but there are occasional sellers that demand payment in full through a different medium to avoid the House Kundarak banking costs. The task force does not enforce any payments outside of the House Kundarak banking system. Table 1-4 shows the House Kundarak banking system costs for items purchased on eBerray, paid for by the seller. The ‘Task Force’ assigned to security was the group of retired adventurers that originally founded eBerray and they have since increased their numbers ten-fold. They call themselves ‘Delivery Boys’ as they are normally tasked with finding fraudulent sellers and forcing them to ‘produce’ the items they misrepresented on eBerray. They travel in groups of no less than three and usually are comprised of a pair of fighters for strength, a rogue for gathering information on their target, or a mage to magically track their target. They can be easily identified as they all bear the eBerray mark, a gold coin surrounded by a ring of fire. Killing or otherwise hindering an eBerray task force bears all the consequences of the region the perpetrators commit the crime in. There is no monitoring of the items sold on eBerray, but there are restrictions on what can and cannot be sold. The prohibited items are; - Slaves or other unwilling, living creatures. - Intangible objects or services. - Objects or services with a ‘timed’ life or hazardous materials. (Such as a Delayed Blast Fireball in a box, perishable food etc) It is impossible to list these items, as all listings must be posted through an eBerray station. Services can be posted, such as a mage offering spells cast at a discounted rate, but failure to produce the desired service will result in being flagged by the tack force and suspension of eBerray privileges. The Advantage - Aside from finding anything anywhere, eBerray mainly benefits the seller of an item as the price can often soar above and beyond the normal value of the item. It may also benefit buyers as they can often times find items for sale at a considerably cheaper price than a region where demand and prices maybe high. The adventurers may be in a smaller town where the financial power of the town is small and unable to support their needs, but they can find an eBerray station and buy what they need from a seller in a larger town, where demand and cost is low. Table 1-5 shows the random price adjustments to items sold or bought on eBerray. ________________________________________ _________________________ Table 1-1: eBerray Listing Fees and Enhancements Price / Name / Details or examples 3gp / Listing Fee /A parchment posted at all eBerray stations 1gp /Translation into any language /From Goblin to Common, or reverse 7gp /Arcane Mark (Includes Identify) /A mark of authenticity and verification 5sp /Dancing Lights /Flashing lights used to attract buyers 5sp /Prestidigitation /Illusionary fire for a ‘hot deal’ 1gp /Silent Image /Pictures of a sword that rotate slowly 2gp /Magic Mouth* /Bellows about quality when person nears 2gp/5gp /Minor/Major Image* /Floods senses with images, smells or sound * - Due to the loud auditory or sometimes offensive olfactory nature of these enhancements, the Gnome scribe find them annoying, especially for longer listings, thusly may charge more for them. Table 1-2: eBerray Bidding Fees Price / Name 3gp / Bid Fee (Fee is paid each time a bid is placed.) 4pg / Simple Purchase Fee (Fee is paid once and assures item purchase immediately.) 6gp / Bid Retraction Fee (Fee is paid once. Can earn suspension of eBerray access.)* * - As stated, bid retractions on eBerray are greatly frowned upon, as it can be costly to both the seller and the House Sivis messaging system. Thus the high cost of retracting a bid. It may also result in a temporary suspension of bidding privileges on eBerray. The package must be picked up when it arrives - otherwise it is placed in the nearest banking center and must be picked up from there. ** - The House Orien Mail Service will not transport some items such as; artifacts, dangerous potions or spell components, live creatures etc. Check with a House Orien station for more details. For instance, if an adventurer found a +1 shield on an eBerray posting and them DM rolled a ‘6’ for the value adjustment - it would cost 800gp. (1,000-20%=800) Likewise, a seller on eBerray could try to sell the same shield for a profit by rolling higher on the same table above. I.E. – While selling a +1 shield, the DM rolls a ‘17’. The shield would sell for 1,500gp. Who stole their ID’s? Why? 3-4 / The PCs ship an item through any means besides the Kundarak OpenVault. When they get their package, it’s actually the severed head of a local merchant. Why was he killed? 5-6 / The PCs receive a particularly annoying cursed item instead of what they bid on. The ‘Delivery Boys’ are too swamped to deal with their item and they must track down the problem themselves. 7-8 / The PCs are hired by an eBerray seller to hand-deliver an item. Along they way, they are ambushed by bandits and must retrieve the item. 9-10 / The PCs bid on an item that is marked with an Arcane Mark. The item is fraudulent and thusly, some Gnome with House Sivis is fraudulently listing items. The PCs are hired to investigate to retain eBerray integrity as a third party. 11-12 / House Orien doesn’t think they’re getting a fair share of the shipping costs of the exploding eBerray market. The PCs are asked, as a third party, to go and negotiate a deal. 13-15 / The House Kundarak OpenVault passwords are prematurely leaked at a certain banking center and eBerray items are being stolen. The PCs uncover this and have a chance to investigate. 16-17 / Someone is removing the PCs listings as soon as they are placed on eBerray. Who? Why? 17-20 / A merchant is selling many duplicates of a certain piece of jewelry on eBerray. They uncover that the jewelry are actually magical items that reduce a wearer’s Will Save in an effort to mass Dominate the population. Who is doing it? Why? That's it. What do you guys think? And since I never got around to it, thanks Keith for such an awesome setting! (I have this in a convenient word document and would be happy to forward it. Send me an email at Mythos_Creature@hotmail.com if you want a copy.) |
| Medesha12-02-04, 02:37 PM | This is awesome!!! Great job! :) |
| Ithamar12-02-04, 03:01 PM | WOW... That is so cool. And you obviously put an awful lot of time and thought into that thing. Job very well done. |
| ThanisKartaleon12-02-04, 03:13 PM | at first I thought, well, no... or that it was another joke thread... But this is actually pretty awesome. Heh. I think I might use this. Kudos! |
| BluSpecs12-02-04, 03:15 PM | I'm the DM for the the group that came up with this idea and I must say I thought it was joke as well but mythos has done a great job with this. I think you could easily use this for an interesting string of adventures |
| stone_dog12-02-04, 03:28 PM | ... no words... should have sent a poet... |
| raventongue12-02-04, 03:31 PM | ... so what's the name for the service that you can use to pay for things without using real gold. SivisPal? You just let the earnings from sales float on the market to be used later for other purchases from other people who use the same system until no one is using hard currency anymore... Don't forget the forged messages players will receive from 'House Sivis' or 'House Kundarak' stating that there is a problem with their account and could they respond to this message with their personal SivisPal code... |
| Ranaku12-02-04, 03:55 PM | I would suggest renaming it so that it isn't quite so obvious. Another thing would be that if your characters tried to sell something that they stole on it, the authorities would find out faster than if they tried to pawn it off. And once the authorities did, all your PC's assets would be frozen and yeah.... You're better off only trying to steal things when you've been contracted to do it, you want it for yourself (or another), or you're willing to pawn it off for whatever you can get, even if it is nowhere near the market price. Outside of those two things, I think it's a fairly good idea. Especially if one of your characters buys something that they need and it doesn't arrive in time because of a feud between the houses and then maybe an adventure that results from the characters having to track down what warehouse or airship their good are on. |
| Rinna12-02-04, 04:10 PM | I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when I started to read, I was just curious. Boy, was I surprised! The little story in the beginning was great! So well written and very funny. That, in itself, is a reason for me to use your idea...besides being incredibly well thought out. I can just imagine my group trying to find the strangest things on the board to then give as gag gifts to their companions. (They're a strange bunch.) Rinna |
| FTracer12-02-04, 04:20 PM | VERY cool idea! I'll have to use this sometime, I think it'll be more interesting than having the pc's just go in a magic shop to get stuff. If World of Warcraft can have ebay, I'd think Eberron could too. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/auctionhouses.html |
| Mythos_Creature12-02-04, 04:36 PM | First off, thanks to everyone for the warm replies! To address; ... so what's the name for the service that you can use to pay for things without using real gold. Amen to the that Raventongue. I don't see why House Kundarak couldn't simply store your funds...it would be no different than a vault account in your name. Heck, eBerray payments could even be drawn from your account to pay for goods and deposited for sales. As for the fraudulent emails requesting passwords or confirmations, Raventongue, I think you just found your first adventure idea. ;) I would suggest renaming it so that it isn't quite so obvious. Yeah I know Ranaku, I debated for a long time. If I called it 'Therkhakohldk' people would say, "It sounds like eBay!" and if I called it 'Khorvaire-Online' or 'The Kundar-Sivis Marketplace', people would just look at me funny. Whatever the name, the design is still the same. And this;Outside of those two things, I think it's a fairly good idea. Especially if one of your characters buys something that they need and it doesn't arrive in time because of a feud between the houses and then maybe an adventure that results from the characters having to track down what warehouse or airship their good are on. ...is an excellent idea. The little story in the beginning was great! So well written and very funny. That, in itself, is a reason for me to use your idea...besides being incredibly well thought out. I can just imagine my group trying to find the strangest things on the board to then give as gag gifts to their companions. Thanks Rinna, I'm a struggling author above all, so this means a lot. You'll also have to let us know what you come with as gags for your PCs! |
| Bluebrush12-02-04, 05:42 PM | Interesting. Though the reference is obnoxious, the idea is at least halfway workable. Three things though: 1: 7gp /Arcane Mark (Includes Identify) /A mark of authenticity and verification Identify requires a pearl worth 100gp. 2: This sort of thing is probably out of the wealth range of all but the upper class, so there may be problems with the noticeboard idea in smaller towns. (If there's one rich guy in town, there's probably no point in paying a gnome to tack up messages all day. As a possible solution, you could have eBerray publish a weekly/monthly list of their items which are sent to subscribers by Orien mail. A catelogue of sorts. You could this make an option of the seller of course. If they're not in a hurry to sell something, they could ask that it be posted to the boards and sent out in the newsletter. The length of the bidding time would give everyone time to read it and make bids. Those in a hurry to offload items (Adventurers burned down my home, and I need to sell this Framed Darguun Mosaic so I can afford rent!) could just opt to sell to the smaller, but faster message board market. 3: You mentioned that most bidders just bid the maximum amount they'd pay for the item to avoid paying for re-bidding. eBerray might want to avoid re-bidding to reduce their "bandwidth" consumption too, and they'd prefer bids to be as high as possible to max out profits. I know of a system that forces bidders to make a single bid of their maximum valuation, solving both problems at once. It's called the "Second price sealed bid auction." Basically, everyone sends in their secret bids. When the auction period ends, the auctioneer takes the two highest bids. The auctioneer declares the highest bidder the winner and makes the winner pay the price bid by the second highest bidder. This encourages people to bid their true valuation, as I will illustrate by example. Say there's a small +2 Kama on sale. Lotus Badger, gnomish cleric of Kol Korran, really wants this. He knows that the item is really worth 8302gp, but it's very hard to find such an exotic weapon with such a bonus in his size, so his valuation of it (the most he is willing to pay) is 10,000gp. (The extra 1698gp represents intangible values. Maybe he really like this particular kama or he doesn't want to find an arteficer who can make it for him.) Say there are two other theoretical bidders, A & B, who'll bid 12k and 8k respectively. If he bids 10k, then if A bids 12k, it goes to him for 10k. If only B bids, Lotus Badger gets it for 8k. He has made an (intangible) profit of 2000gp. Lotus considers bidding higher to ensure he wins the auction. So he bids 11k. If A bids, he still loses it to A. If only B bids, he gets the kama for 8k anyway. If he bids 13k, and A bids, Lotus gets the kama but pays 12k, an effective loss of 2k. If only B bids, he gets it for 8k, as usual. Realising the high bid strategy is foolish, Lotus considers bidding lower, in order to save money. If he bids 9k, and A bids, he loses anyway. If A doesn't bid, Lotus pays 8k as before. (If we were to have another person, C, bid at 9.5k, then Lotus would lose the kama he would have gotten if he had bid his true valuation.) If lotus bids 7k, then he will lose the kama no matter what. Eberray might also like the fact that this saves them posting results all over the place every time someone makes a bid. What do you think? |
| Wizardman12-02-04, 06:00 PM | This is bloody brilliant. Great job! |
| Dauntless12-02-04, 07:11 PM | 1: Identify requires a pearl worth 100gp. Or hiring a member of House Tharashk with the Least Mark of Finding (Identify) |
| Dex The King12-02-04, 09:26 PM | The only problem I have with it is the name, as most of my players would not take it seriously and make metagame jokes, or get sidetracked, and I hate it when they do that. Other than that, great job, I just might use that. |
| Edymnion12-02-04, 10:22 PM | Or hiring a member of House Tharashk with the Least Mark of Finding (Identify)Or an Artificer using an Identify Infusion. I'll admit, I thought this was going to be a crap thread, but I was pleasantly surprised. Exceptional work man! |
| StoneTree12-03-04, 12:57 AM | My main beef with this idea is, of course, the meathod used to communicate from point to point. It's all well and good to say, "Magic," but a look at the DMG shows even the simplest spells cost a fair hunk of money per casting. There's no spell in the PHB to send a message to dozens or hundreds of locations similtaniously, but given the range (thousands of miles) and targets (numerous and we may not know much about them) such a spell would be of at least moderate level... meaning that putting an item up for offer would probably cost closer to a thousand gold, not the goblin-selling-his-chairs three gold. The solutions are the monthly catalog idea, which seems pretty cool, because you'd have adventurers settling back with a book looking for deals, or a band of theives with a subscription who use it to find magic items who's owners arn't particuarly married to the object--or having magical items in place which allow the users to send messages to one another as an "at will" or "per day" option. WHich would not only have a tremendous initial expense, but introduce the idea of telecommunications to Eberron, which has no such thing. Such a solution would drastically rewrite the world, and would definately not be appropriate to a majority of "vanillia" Eberron settings. The idea of, say, the "Mhorr Hold Monthy," however, has sparked my imagination. I might yet steal it. |
| LazarusX12-03-04, 01:18 AM | You know; this is the most crazy, silly, off-the-wall idea I have seen. And then I read the work that went into it. I love it. It's imaginative, thought out, very specific, graphed, very "Eberron" feel. Marvelous job. Of course; we can poke holes through it....no one is perfect at making something this large-scale; but bravo to you. I think any DM can take what they want(or nothing at all) of this and place it into their campaign with little worry. |
| zerotkatama12-03-04, 01:25 AM | Speaking stones could do it. |
| nyysjan12-03-04, 01:29 AM | Or an Artificer using an Identify Infusion. I'll admit, I thought this was going to be a crap thread, but I was pleasantly surprised. Exceptional work man! doesn't artificer need material components  |
| Bluebrush12-03-04, 03:39 AM | As to the "Magic communication is expensive" problem, until I can check the setting book, I could suggest that minor communications like this could be sent en-mass at the end of the day. |
| DJDave12-03-04, 03:57 AM | Bravo Bravo :D ***immediately prints thread for later use*** |
| JohnnyONeal12-03-04, 07:47 AM | Hahaha, awesome! I'm coming out of hiding just to post my enthusiasm for this. |
| LazarusX12-03-04, 08:01 AM | Wait, wait...i can't resist. Selling: Khorvaire Artificer 7th level Stats are above average in every area. Magelo can be seen here http://www.thislinkdoesntwork.com Any specific questions or comments please feel free to email me. I am not selling the character; only the time and effort it took me to obtain this character. Upon successful end of bidding; I will transfer this character to you for 1 copper; after which, the character is yours to play. By bidding on this item; you acknowledge that you are not an employee of WotC; or any relative of such. Sorry, couldn't help myself. |
| Mythos_Creature12-03-04, 09:31 AM | Wow! Thanks again everyone. To Address; Identify requires a pearl worth 100gp Blue Brush - Absolutely right. Perhaps an amendment that it's not actually the spell Identify, but rather a thorough inspection by a House Sivis Gnome? As to quality of craftsmenship. (I.E. Appraise, Knowledge or Craft check?) Would that be better suited to the price of the Arcane Mark? 2: This sort of thing is probably out of the wealth range of all but the upper class, so there may be problems with the noticeboard idea in smaller towns. Entirely right again Bluebrush. I believe the vast majority of items here would be for the wealthy upper class, nobility and well-to-do adventurers. I like your 'catalogue' idea for a cheaper version of the marketplace. A place where beginning adventurers can get cheaper and slightly used gear to start their path to adventure. It doesn't cost as much to post a 'listing' in the magazine, and thusly, returns are not as high. Lower pricing and financial standing of audience, the less extravagant and obscure is the items for sale. That will have to be added! As for the 'Lotus-style' of bidding. It's not so much that it's an inconvenience to House Sivis to post, heck, they make gold every time you do it. That was part of the deal with the House doyenne, to ensure her house makes oodles of gold from this. (I read she was shrewd!) I was more trying to point out the fact that - unless you want to spend a bunch of gold in bidding fees - you'd better just slap down one bid. The only problem I have with it is the name, as most of my players would not take it seriously and make metagame jokes, or get sidetracked, and I hate it when they do that. I'll admit, I thought this was going to be a crap thread, but I was pleasantly surprised. Alright, alright...point taken. It needs to be renamed. I'm open to suggestion. Stonetree - Respectfully, I disagree. When I first read Eberron, it struck me a place where magic is so common that it's almost a household thing - indeed backed up by random living spells, mages that cast Feather Fall on in-need Sharn inhabitants for a reward and ships flying through the air. To me, it makes sense that the communications would only improve and become cheaper. Look at it this way, if one guy way using a telegraph to send out messages to a hundred locations and had to type in the same message a hundred times, I could see the price justification. But install a network of stations, the Gnome-power to run them and the abundant magic flowing in Eberron, and I think it's justifiable to have a cheap way to communicate a relatively simple message. I try to view House Sivis as the precursory internet, only instead of servers, we get Gnomes. (Much cooler in my opinion.) I think any DM can take what they want(or nothing at all) of this and place it into their campaign with little worry. I feel the same way too LazarusX. Oh and... *Runs off to place bid on Magelo* :D |
| LordofIllusions12-03-04, 10:05 AM | Good job! There is just one thing you forgot to add in: The mechanics for when a consumer purchases numerous things from several fraudulent sellers(over a period of time) who do not send the products, or return the purchaser's money, and Ebay/Eberray refuses to do anything about it unless the purchaser paid even more money(which defeats the purpose if all of your purchases were small ones, which cost less than the protection itself) for their fraudulent buyer protection program. Once you add that in, your idea will be just like Ebay! :D ~~~ |
