I didn't buy the Eberron Campaign Setting but I've read the articles of Eberron and some of the elven houses are quite interesting so can you post some info or what you had taken from there. :)

I incorporated the Khoravar and Phiarlan "Houses" can anyone give some additional info on those houses

I would be very pleased :D My economic situation don't let me buy the setting...

Well, you seem to have drawn the wrong conclusions.

First: Khoravar aren't a house, they are half-elves. THe word "Khoravar" is what they call the race instead of "half-elves". So if you were a Half-Elf pc, you'd say something like "I'm a fifth level khoravar ranger".

Second: The Dragonmarked Houses aren't only made up of elves. In fact most houses are human. Each house is one extended family, and they pass down the mysterious "Dragonmarks" through their bloodline. These dragonmarks appear like shimmering tatoos and grant individuals spell-like abilities that tie into a theme for the house.

They way the economy is set up in Eberron, think of each House's leader as a baron of industry. Each of them holds a virtual monopoly on some aspect of society. House Cannith is the human house bearing the Mark of Making. They are the inventors, tinkerers, and mad scientists of Eberron.

I don't remember all the houses and Marks off hand, but I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot. And sorry for the ignorance about the houses and the dragonmarks.

It seems quite interesting how economy is build up I sense a mafia-type thing.
Also khoravar is a good word for half-elf..i hate "IM A HALF-ELF!" phrases...
I will assign some names to all races...in my world.
Elves: Eldar
High Elves: Eldarie or Eldari(plural)
Dark elves: drow or darkcast.

Just some random ideas..

Thank You

No need to appologize, you didn't know so I informed. ^_^

I don't think elves need to be named anything. They have a racial identity, that being "elves". "I am an elf" is certainly more valid than saying "I am half human half elven". Half-elves made a name for themself ("Khoravar") because they wanted to have their own racial identity instead of merely being half of two other races.

Elves don't need to do this, as they have had their own racial identity for millenia. Still, if you want to name them, I don't think "Eldar" is a good name. For two reasons: It's taken from Warhammer 40k. And it would imply that elves are the eldest of races. Which is untrue. Orcs, Humans, Halflings, Dwarves, Gnomes, and Elves were all created at the same time durring the creation of the world by Eberron.

But this is just all my opinion, feel free to disagree with me.

There are currently two Elven Dragonmarked Houses. The Elven Houses are Phiarlan and Thuranni. They both bear the Mark of Shadow. They were one house once but split due to an unknown internal dispute. Both are publicly known for their value as entertainers but their true industry is information dealing, spying, and perhaps, theft (although Thuranni seems to lean more toward assassination). There was once a third Elven Dragonmarked House called the House of Vol, which bore the Mark of Death. That House was destroyed by the combined might of the Elves and Dragons millenia ago because they interbred an elf and a dragon.

There are, I think, two Half-elven (Khoravar) Houses as well. They are House Lyrandar, bearing the Mark of Storm, and House Medani, bearing the Mark of Detection. Lyrandar manages the shipping industry of Khorvaire while Medani seems to focus on security and policing, a detective agency of sorts.

Here are the other Houses (let's see if I can remember them all):
House Cannith, human - mark of making - artificers and magical craftsmen
House Deneith, human - mark of protection - bodyguards and mercenaries
House Vadalis, human - mark of handling - animal training and breeding
House Orien, human - mark of passage - teamsters and lightning rail operaters
House Tharashk, human and half-orc - mark of finding - miners (dragonshards)
House Kundarrak, Dwarf - mark of warding - bankers and financiers (wards protect their hordes)
House Jorasco, halfling - mark of healing - healers
House Ghallandra, halfling - mark of ?? feasting?? - Innkeeps, cooks, brewers, bakers, etc.

12 Houses altogether. The Houses do not have a monopoly on their area of expertise but they do maintain a strong control over their industry and rarely have serious competitors.

Nearly right, I'll iron out a few things for you:

House Cannith, human - mark of making - artificers and magical craftsmen
House Deneith, human - mark of sentinel - bodyguards and mercenaries
House Vadalis, human - mark of handling - animal training and breeding
House Orien, human - mark of passage - teamsters and lightning rail operaters and caravan drivers
House Tharashk, human and half-orc - mark of finding - miners (dragonshards), bounty hunters
House Kundarak, Dwarf - mark of warding - bankers and financiers (wards protect their hordes)
House Jorasco, halfling - mark of healing - healers
House Ghallanda, halfling - mark of hospitality - Innkeeps, cooks, brewers, bakers, etc.
House Phiarlan/Thuranni - elf - mark of shadow - entertainers, spies, assasins
House Medani - half-elf - mark of detection - security services
House Lyrandar - half-elf - mark of storm - transport (air/sea ships), agriculture (watering crops)
House Sivis - gnomes - mark of scribing - message stations, documents

And that makes 13 Houses with 12 dragonmarks. :)

Ok I will try to rename Elves..I certainly took Eldar from J.R.R Tolkien but that's kind of a crappy action.

Thank for all the marks and houses. The guy behind eberron is a genius.

Note: I don't use eberron, neither I have bought the book...lack of money, Im only grabbing ideas for my world..

Elves: Eldar
High Elves: Eldarie or Eldari(plural)
Dark elves: drow or darkcast.!

In Eberron, there are no elven subraces (Keith says he considers the drow of Eberron more of a separate race). The elves would propably call themselves either Aereni (if from Aerenal) or Valenar (if from Valenar). If they come from a human society, they'll propably call themselves elves.

en yet there is more ironing to do ;) ( sorry but there are simply flaws and they need correction!)
Orien, specialised in transpord, does more than lighning rail and caravans!
it has a postal service and a personal develery servis ( for those who can afford it), with is mouch like the wayfarers guild discribed in tome and blood ( telepord etc.)

Kundarak is the house with the mark of sentinel, witch means that whatever they do, you won't GET OUT! they make traps and have a personal prison ( somewhat like alcatraz, which gives me a good idea for a campain ;) )!
they are called upon to make traps and in case of protection!

medani is the house for personal protection instead of private protection that kundarak gives!
it prevents you from GETTING IN! It uses is ever wachfull eyes, enhanced with magic, to see all!
that's their power!

all about turranni vs. phairlan has been said so... ;)

Kundarak has the Mark of Warding. Deneith has the Mark of Sentinel.

Just to keep on ironing:

Kundarak is the house with the mark of sentinel,

Actually House Kundarak has the mark of warding. House Deneith has the mark of sentinel.

Okay Ieattrolls, I was a little too late posting this
