Eberron Art [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-18-04, 05:04 PM I was wondering, what are the odds of us getting a look at the unobscured Wayne Reynolds artwork? I really like Eberron but I detest the cover designs for it. While I understand the intent behind it, the cover designs completely distort and ruin the beautiful Wayne Reynolds artwork that goes onto the covers. At least the Campaign Book had the cover reprinted on the inside of the book (even if the books crease made it impossible to see the center Warforged figure.)

Why is WotC doing that? None of the other campaign books obscure cover art so much and Wayne Reynolds, IMHO, is one of the best and helped define the 'feel' of Eberron. Especially his iconic Warforged fighter. What gives? Can we get the covers at the least posted in the art galleries? They're not even there.

09-18-04, 09:19 PM I'm with you man!! I wish tosee too the cover of Shadow of the Last War!! :D Please Mr. WoTC!! Give us the covers in the gallery... kinda wallpaper or something... snif :weep:

09-18-04, 10:20 PM I personally think the cover treatment is stylin', but I agree that it would be nice to be able to see the whole thing in one go like the ECS book has.

09-19-04, 02:44 AM I just don't understand the concept of hyping up Wayne Reynolds artwork so much in the previews and the art density in Eberron - and then completely distoring any opportunity to actually /see/ the main artwork when the books actually come out. I was really looking forward to a good look at 'Whispers' cover, but it's just no good. That Wayne Reynolds doesn't have an art gallery/website all to himself doesn't help matters either.

Here's hoping someone at WOTC responds and makes those art prints available somehow. Sheesh. :)

09-19-04, 03:21 AM sorry my bad, the picture i was referring to is not the cover shot. It is also not in the WOTVB at all. There are a couple of pics in the gallery that must have been cut from the mod. Anyway, the artwork in the mod is awsome! I love the lightning rail station, and the cutaway of the rail cars!
