I was wondering what we were going to do when we got together, as I was web-serfing, and happened upon an advertisment for Warhammer 40k's Blood Bowl, and slowly what I can only assume was an EVIL GRIN slowly spread across my face. So, I think we're going to start a league of teams based (somewhat loosely) on the Eberron setting. These are the ideas I've had so far: Two Warforged teams; one in the Mournland, and the other in Sharn. The Mournland team might also have some undead, while the Sharn team might have players from almost any race. Two elf teams; one from Valanar (elves only) and Aerenal (elves & undead). At least two monster teams; from Droaam & Darguun Boosting the effectiveness of the halfling team by letting them ride their dinosaurs during play. A team of shifters from Eldeen. I haven't decided yet how the shifting ability should relate to a game that vaugely resembles football, but I'll work it out. A team of House Tharask half-orcs. A team from Thrane that fields some paladins that can heal the other players when they are injured without them having to leave play. That's all I've thought of at this point. And yes, I realize that the various faction in Eberron are so fragmented that there is no way they could ever come together to play some sport together (even one as bloody as Blood Bowl). It's just for fun. Don't take it so seriously. Anyway, I was just wondering what the community would make of this idea, and if anyone has any ideas to contribute. |
