I'm about to start an Eberron campaign. I haven't had a chance to look at the Shackled City adventures yet, but I will in the next few days. I have had a chance to look at Forgotten Forge (from the back of the Eberron book) and Shadows of the Last War.

In your opinion, if you were running an Eberron campaign which one of these campaign-lines would you pick and why?

Thanks for any input! :)

I would pick the FF/SotLW path simply because it is specially built for Eberron. It is tailored to make full use of Eberron rules and cultures without extra effort from the DM. With the Shackled City, it lacks that distinct Eberron feel. You may feel like your players have jumped from Eberron and landed in a totally different world.

I don't know the other one but my players enjoyed Forgotten Forge and Shadows of the Last War and I think they provide an excellent introduction to Eberron as well as good hooks for other adventures if you want to dump the WOTC Adventure Series and go solo.

Trolls and bloodwyn are right - you have to go with Forgotten Forge and Shadows of the Last War. Most of us have even stuck Queen with Burning Eyes between them, which is from Dungeon #113.

Erik Mona and the crew at Dungeon are hoping to get another Adventure Path started, perhaps in issue #120. Wait and see if it has more Eberron adaptability. It might even include notes on adjusting it to Khorvaire. Don't get me wrong, Shackled City is great. But it will require a lot of thought and effort to get it reflect an Eberron tone. It's not impossible, just too much work for my schedule and onclination.

I hope our input helps.
