It's 'cks' rather than 'x' ;) Since I don't read either Dragon or Dungeon, I think this'll end up being a positive thing, at least from my perspective. I have bought Dragon and Dungeon in the past, but the trouble with the medium is that it is bound to have lots of pages devoted to things I don't care about. If WotC releases content online instead, not only do I have better access to it (the mags can be difficult to find outside of large shops in towns and cities), but hopefully it'll end up cheaper to get what I want.

I agree with the premise: There are many articles, even whole issues that didn't do it for me. It's a price I can accept, though. At least the comics are always good ;) However, your conclusion, that it will be cheaper to get what you want, assumes that you pay a certain fee per article. If it's a monthly fee, or just buying an online pdf magazine, the problem will be just the same as it has been with the magazines. Unfortunately, WotC has been silent as to what exactly their online alternative is going to be, so we cannot say anything about that. Also, as I have pointed out elsewhere: getting access to the mags can be difficult. But so can be access to online material. Someone else mentioned the US military posted abroad; I assume the same holds true for the British guys. I also know several other people whose only computer/online connection is a public library computer or a machine at an internet cafe. The magazine you can take out without clogging up a public printer. So overall, I find that online content, even if paid for, would be great as an option. But not as a replacement for the mags.
