I just pick up the DM Screen & The Five Nations today.

I have to say I love the screen. Map is really nice too.

Hope to get the map framed next week and hang it.

I can't wait to get the DM screen. Is there lots of useful little Eberron specific tid bits on it?

I am still debating about Five Nations though. To anyone that has it already, is it worth it?

What are the Eberron specific tidbits on the screen?

I'm VERY curious as to what it has in it and what it looks like. I want to buy it, but I buy online and would like to see what's in it and what the map looks like before I do. Info, info! (cheers) lol

I picked up the screen today and am realitivly happy with it. First the map is GREAT!! It has the boarders, roads, and lightling rails on it. Simply put it is better than any other map I have seen to date. As for the screen itself, it is okay. For Eberron specific information it has only the month/day information and dragonmark house information which is not very much. After looking through the ECS again that doesn't surprise me because there aren't that many tables in it to begin with. Lastly the back cover is pretty cool in my opinion assuming you are in to that sort of thing.

In the end I am more happy with the map than the screen. If you don't need the map and already have a good DM screen I would pass.

What kind of quality is the map? I mean is it worth ten bucks? I really only wanted the map, I have a DM screen.

I picked up both today, and am very pleased with both of them.

DM Screen - First off, who can argue with the badass artwork on the screen itself. Its an expanded picture from um... SoTLW? Coveres all 4 sections, and looks very nice. The screen itself, its a DM screen, only Eberron specific stuff is what was mentioned earlier (dragonmarks, months, and days). The map is a nice, 8 sheet map. It doesnt have lightning rail distances on it tho, I had hoped it would, like the one you can print out.....

Five Nations - Ive only read a little bit of this, but the artwork is wonderful (as we know from the art gallery) and makes this worth what I paid for it. Read first few pages on Cyre, and I feel bad for them, worse so than I did before.... Looked through the PrCs and was only unimpressed by the one for Breland (bone knight is damned creepy....)

Is the map not all connected in one piece? It's in sheets you have to put together? Is it made of cardboard or something? If it's not a fold out map what good is that?

The map is one large fold out map.

Five Nations is looking pretty good from what I've read on it so far. Some very nice flavour that should add to alot of people's campaigns.

In addition I personally liked the PrC for Breland, but it may have to do with the fact that my current character is from there. Makes for some nice flavour.

The map size is about 34"X22" (8 sheets portait)

I was referring to THIS map...
As for the map on the web page it depends on how big a printer you have. I printed it on standard paper but if you had access to a plotter printer or wanted to go to Kinko's you could have it put in one sheet there. When I priced Kinko's it was about $60 and that is why I choose to print on standard and then later buy the DM Screen.

I agree that the distances would have been nice but I started using a traveling cost webpage that was posted on the boards awhile back.
Here are the links again. I ended up putting it in a Excel Spreadsheet for my purposes but credit to the person who put it together.

5 Nations is Fluff-tastic, though 154 pages doesn't seem like nearly enough.

Some crunch, but I quickly skipped over it to get to the setting stuff. I noticed some important NPC's had their CR's upped due to money/elite scores, however.
