Has there been a page or an article printed that has "official" Eberron errata? If so, can someone please provide a link?

Any and all help is appreciated.

I don't think that "The Powers that Errata" have made a pronouncement regarding the Eberron CS book.

I am still waiting for said powers to "fix" the spiked chain, let alone the Talenta Sharrash.

I am waiting for a "fix" on the sharrash as well. I couldn't find the info on the Ask Keith Baker thread. Any idea what the consensus seems to be on a fix for the weapon?

Keith had said that he thought that the ECS Errata would be available in September. Obviously this was not the case (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/er/20040125a).

Hopefully, soon, but there is no way of knowing without someone official saying something.

why do you need official answers?

just change it to what works for you. :)

It's not a question of need.

If you're not the DM, sometimes it's difficult to change it to what works for you, even if you're trying to keep things balanced and fair.

I also like to know the opinions of the powers that be.

A very brilliant suggestion. Unfortunately there are a few people within our groups who are rules lawyers and purists, I however agree with this mind set entierly; change it to suit the campagin.

There are also the things that come and bite you after several weeks' play when you finally realise the reason the Talenta barbarian is doing so much damage with his Improved Critical Sharrash, or the Artificer can afford to make so many items on the moderate amount of gold he's been getting, and by then, if you try and change it, you're taking away the player's favourite toy and causing a big controversy. Much better to know what needs to be corrected from the start.

I agree; taking anything away from a PC seems to trigger a contingencied Polymorph into Pouting Baby spell.

How about we start a forum of things we think are problems, just to alert others to the potential for abuse out there? If people have solutions they would like to share that would be great, but if not at least we can warn other DMs of problems we have run into. I find that I rarely need 'official' rulings in my game, but being aware of the potential pitfalls at the outset might be nice.

We need an official errata to give a baseline for the rules. The "Golden Rule" is all fine and dandy, but most of us buy books so we don't have to make things up. That's one of the biggest reasons is steered away from White Wolf; they seemed to think they could half-ass rules and then just spout of "It's Your Game!". Not cool. I didn't pay 35 bones for Eberron to have what little may be broken to stay that way.

I couldn't find the info on the Ask Keith Baker thread. It took me approximately 30 seconds to find the appropriate quote from Keith in the Ask Keith Baker FAQ thread. Its EVERY question he's answered in that thread, boilded down and condensed. Its only three pages long as opposed to the 60 something of the main thread.

Ctrl + F is the Find command in any browser.
Load page 1 of the FAQ thread, Ctrl+F on "sharrash", hit Find. No result.
Load page 2 of the FAQ thread, Ctrl+F on "sharrash", hit Find. Answer found.Q. Originally Posted by Blizzard_Bobsan:

A. I use x3. But I believe that the official errata will be out this month.

I am not suggesting a message thread of ANSWERS, but one of problems that people have encountered so I can anticipate and prepare my own answers.

I realize that lots of people don't want to adjudicate for one reason or another, and for them there will someday be an official Eberron errata. But for those of us who are comfortable (even enthusiastic) about heading off such problems without waiting the months for WotC to do it for us, a collection of problems people have encountered would be helpful.

Truth be told I break the hell outta' the rules. I just want them to be solid to begin with. There will be some snags, to be sure however I shouldn't have to make things up. Thankfully, WotC is damn good about this. My earlier rant was my reasoning for wanting some clarification, that's all.
