Eberron Glossary from City of Towers Novel [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-21-07, 05:50 PM Has this been placed anywhere on the Wizards website? Is it available anywhere else other than the book(s)?

I was at Borders today when I picked it up, and thought "Man-oh-man, this is priceless information! This is a great resource for players and DM's. I wonder...." and then proceeded to place the question here.

02-21-07, 06:53 PM As far as I am aware, the info in the back of the book is not available anywhere else. (Not that I would call myself an authority on all the books, I just haven't seen it anywhere else.) The simple solution is simply to let your players borrow that book so they can read the glossary. I suppose you could also either photo-copy or scan those pages, but that would be illegal, and I don't actually recommend doing either of those things.

02-22-07, 02:46 PM Legality is questionable. Especially if it is not a reproduced item for sale but for reference. Not much different than making a photo copy of a quick sheet or something else from a rule book and sharing it amongst your players. Or even making a copy of a tv show you just watched and sharing it.
Its a gray area, in my opinion.
And something I wouldn't want to do to begin with, and should probably hit another discussion thread... but I was just curious because what a cool resource it would be to have.

02-23-07, 01:54 PM As far as I can recall there are glossaries in the back of the Dreamng Dark and the Dragon Below trilogies, and no they are not the same (meaning terms are in one that are not pertinant to the other novel, etc). None of the other novels have them.

02-23-07, 06:11 PM the glossaries in the back of those books are just definitions of terms used in the books. the one in the back of City of Towers is like a comprehensive eberron overview. it's one of the quickest ways to orient a new player with the campaign setting.
