Wow. Eberron is truly amazing. I have spent all day poring over my Eberron Campaign Setting book, which arrived this morning (I ordered it from Overstock.com). I have been very active in Living Greyhawk (LG). When not playing a LG RPGA scenario, I am deeply involved in my World of Greyhawk home campaign, which has been around since 1985. I was skeptical to even look at the Eberron Campaign Setting because I listened to its negative critics for months. But, seeing the setting's Web articles at WotC's site, I was compelled to investigate myself.

And, it took one day to "convert" me. The setting is just awesome. While I am far from an Eberron expert after a few hours of reading, I do know that I like every element of the setting.

I will certainly continue to enjoy LG. But, Eberron is so compelling that I don't mind if my World of Greyhawk days begin to wane. I am excited to experience Eberron. While this is corny, I want to thank the creators and contributors who made Eberron possible. Great job, all. And to all of those Eberroners out there, you have a new convert! :)

Yep, nothing like plowing into a BIG FAT NEW setting book. I got mine three weeks ago, and am still reading a few pages nightly. Even if I never play it, it's fun to mine for ideas.

This setting is a definite breath of fresh air. A VERY cool setting!

One of the great points about Eberron is the courtesy of the creator Keith Baker. He actually spends time on the boards answering fans questions and such.

It seems like almost every other board has horrible interaction between the fans and playtesters/freelance writers/creators. The WizOs usually end up doing double duty.

Yes. Keith Baker continues to impress me with both his professionalism and intelligence. Not to mention his nigh heroic dedication.

Jesus, I sound like a lovesick fanboy or something. What can I say? I'm loving Eberron, and Keith's interaction on these boards has only served to enhance my enjoyment.

No you don't. You sound like a fan that is pleased with an author's, "professionalism and intelligience." Hang on the Other Role Playing Worlds boards for awhile(Be first deck yourself out in a flame proof suit) and you will come to respect Mr. Baker even more than you do now.

I have a problem. Every couple of minutes I think of something cool about Eberron and give a little fist pump and YEAH!!

I'm not sure if I'll have it out of my system by work on Monday. Any tips? :D

I recommend petting a kitty.

Ok, I don't know why. Just because kitties are really cute.

Yes it is true everyone should pet a kitty at least once daily.

I own three kitties but they are not with me.:( They are at my parents. Poor me no kitties. I will now make a wizard with a kitty familiar.

I would pat my kitty but it keeps on going YEEAAAAH! and giving fist pumps!

My co-workers have started to comment on my now constant state of stupid awe. What should I do?
