I have two warforged players in my group, and one of them is using a heavily armored dwarf as his mini because Wotc only had one warforged mini (excluding the Titan) available. Now they can both have warforged minis. And I love DnD minis, a couple of my players are real fiends and collect all of them so we have gotten great use of them. Unfortunately we dont actually play them minis game (I tried to get them to do so, and we actually did a few times....but it was short lived). Yes I am looking forward to the aberrations set, and also I just got my first box of Star Wars minis...they are pretty smooth as well. |

I agree that it would be interesting to see some of the artwork for these guys... And as for the Monk Warforged with a double bladed sword :cool: Let's hope they make him... :whatsthis |

The Boomer miniatures from GZG games makes for EXCELLENT warforged minis. http://www.gtns.co.uk/store1/html/images/bgc-02.jpg Or the Necron Pariahs from Warhammer 40k. http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/necrons/catalog/images/pariah_1.gif There's several minis already made that work quite well for Warforged, and even a blind monkey could do a simple paint job to rival the WotC prepaint jobs. And best yet, unlike the DDMs, when you buy real miniatures, you can look at them and see what you're buying before you flush money down the toilet on random figs. |

| Save-vs-DM09-25-04, 04:02 AM | Like Endymoin, I do like the metal figs ( I have masses of them). Thanks for those links, actually. Those will work nicely with just a bit of modding. However, as I have more and more work to do, I find that I like the plastic ones because I don't have to paint them. And anything that saves me time is good. Plus, I enjoy the minatures game part of it as well. Try Ebay for getting single figures. I buy most of mine on ebay, and you can get singles and such quite easily. Cheers, Save vs DM |
| Methos of Aundair09-25-04, 09:24 AM | I like using the figs only for DnD (don't play the minis game) and attemted to buy some off of rpgshop and couldn't believe their S&H! I had picked out around $20 in figs and the cost of S&H was around $9! Keep in mind, this was normal shipping not express. After that I also began buying a few figs off of Ebay. Wish there was someplace that had decent S&H of the plastic figs. (Hint: Post or PM me if you know of any please :D ) Sorry, I don't like the metal figs but thats mainly because I don't enjoy painting them. I also don't like the randomized figs since I would be forced to spend money and ones I may not like yet I prefer them since they don't require painting. :D |
