Eberron mixed with other settings. [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-15-04, 06:48 PM I had a few idea's pop into my head and wanted to see what everyone else thought. I can say that I am by no means an expert in any of the other campaign settings, but what little I do know allows me to think that other's might be able to take the idea and run.

Eberron and Spelljammer - What type of ship would Warforged, Kaltashar, and the Noble Houses have? Artificer and a spelljamming helm . . . sneak him onto your opponents ship and let him take apart the thing . . . .

Eberron and Ravenloft - I can just picture the Mournlands becoming a Domain of the Land of Mists with the LoB's as it's DreadLord . . . .

Eberron and Dark Sun - Mix two of the most unique elements of both settings, Living Spells and Defiling Magic. Living Spells that drain life from the surrounding vegetation just by being there.

Eberron and . . . Hmm . . well I thinks that's all I can think of for right now.

Please i'm curious to know what you all think.

And Spelljamming ships gain lives of their own jettisoning the crew into the phlogiston.

*Planescape: I wonder how Sigil would react to the Artificer (Wich is different enough from the Wizard, Sorcerer, Bard, Cleric and Druid to warrant attention) and the Dragonmarked?

*Birthright (wich also is a wartorn setting): Dragonmarks and Bloodlines look a bit similar if you don't look that closely at them. What would happen if these two met?

*Al-Quadim: (Ok, can't think of anything)
*Kara-Tur: (Same as above)

*Mystara: The state of Glantri is run by Mages and Clerics are forbidden of entering. Would Glantri have Artificers and Warforged?
I wonder if we could sneak in some areas of Eberron into Hollow World? I Could certaintly see the Immortals there preserving the Lycanthropes and the Warforged.
The meeting between Shifters, Rakasta, Lupinals and Tortles would be interesting.

*Dragonlance: The similarities between Warforged and Draconians are too hard to miss. I wonder what they would feel like if they met?
I wonder how the Moons would affect the Artificers abilities?

And can't forget
*Darksun: Where do Warforged get their energy from? Could it be that they have hearts of plants :D ? But seriously, considering that all arcane spellcasting is done with either preserving or defiling, it would seem logical that a 'Forged would be some kind of an artifact wich works either as a walking preserving machine or a walking defiler. Unless they worked on some other form of energy, like psionics or elemental energy. (Heh. The heart of plants thing made me think of Vash the Stampede from Trigun. I wonder if he'd be affected by defiling?)

*Ravenloft: The Warforged have a pretty horrible past and this would lead to some 'preeetty interesting things in Ravenloft.

*Spelljammer: Would the Arcane see Artificers as rivals? Would the Arcane start making Warforged? Or would they sell Creation forges to them?
