Hey guys,
I'm starting an Eberron game this weekend (and I'm short on time between now and then), and I need some help from the Eberron Community.

I'm running for two friends, and since we are short two slots (they don't want to play two PCs each this time) I am setting the campaign in Merc guild somewhere in Sharn. This guild is actually a multi-tiered Guild House where the members socialize and discuss past ventures and future opportunities.

What I need is a dozen or so various Eberron personalities to help fill the place out. I don't need level, but alignment, class, race, and something unique about each of them would be great (any magic items you'd like for them to have would be good too.

The two PCs are going to be 10th level each, and veterans of the Last War. So the NPCs can range from 6th or 7th to around 12th. (I would prefer most to be around 9th level) When I'm done I'll stat them up and post them back here.

Thanks for any help you guys can give me, this is a great and creative community and I'm glad to be aboard!

Welcome to the boards! Here are a five NPCs you can use.

Jolt [TN Warforged Ftr2/Art7]: Jolt is a battered, beating and rather stout warforged veteran. While he started in the front lines her quickly discovered that he had skill with magic in general. Jolt stands 6’ 3” tall. He is missing his left arm just below the wrist, which has been replaced by a metal stump that ends in a chain and morning start. He has various belts and pouches holding magical scrolls and potions, as well as a hip mounted wand holster (that usually holds a wand of magic missile).

Eric Bringston [NG Human Ftr1/Clr5]: Eric is a large, rowdy cleric of Dol Dorn who enjoys mead and a good fight. He saw a lot of action and is somewhat hard of hearing, so he tends to talk quite loudly and often asks PCs to speak up. His left ear is missing, the result of a rather nasty battle.

Ace [TN Half-Elf Rog4/Rgr3]: Ace is a marked member of house Lyandar and used to fly airships to transport troops to battles. He is brash, charming and smiles a lot. He is quite confident in his abilities and happens to know a few smugglers who know how to “get things done.”

Crunch [CN Warforged Bar5]: Crunch is aptly named. He enjoys a good brawl at any time and has a habit of breaking things by accident, mostly furniture. Still he is a stalwart warrior and knows a good deal about the outdoors and how to pitch an ambush.

Kayle Ironback [LG Dwarf Ftr7/DwfDef3]: Kayle became famous by holding of a small value single handedly for a few hours while reinforcements arrived. He is a talented weapon and armor smith and knows a great deal about martial and exotic weapons and armor.

Cheers,

Your in luck, I have one for you. Stats and some background ( ignore it if appropriate ). See Lord Crimson (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=3441825&postcount=7) who was actually made before Eberron was released but will still work. Principality pirate type would now be the most appropriate placement and style for him surrounding. Replace leadership if you need to.

Also I thinks its time to revive two threads.
Charecter Concepts (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=235343)
and
Concept to Flesh (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=239784)

Just be sure to contribute back to this mad house. :)

Taecyn Starhammer, probably a bard or a rogue, Taecyn is a dashing half elf who is actually one Taecyn Starhammer D'Lyrandar, but his mark is across his chest and he never reveals that despite being a dashing swashbuckler, ask anyone where he is from and you will get a dozen different answers ask him and youll get a story to enthrall, he will spin you a tale of his mispent youth adventuring in which ever part of Khorvaire is most remote from your percieved origins (and he can guess really good), While in sharn he will mostly claim to be from the Lhazar principalities especially to Brelanders, though he has before claimed to be one of the first pink skins in Q'Barra or to have come from Arenal or Argonessen,

The irony of the situation is he IS from Lhazar though he wont tell his true history as a pampered dragonmarked child,

Everyone who knows him (and sometimes thats everyone) will tell you he is an okay guy and good to get to know once you get past his quirks, this is because he is a veritable fountain of knowledge, though he wont tell you everything for free he will for the right price tell you many things, and if he really likes you he might even let you see his private library collection,

and at a right level perhaps he can be talked into doing some adventuring,

Always make a note of his stories as all of them have a grain of truth,

James Godsforge [CN Human Wiz8]
A powerful wizard who specializes in Fire, and has talent in forging many sundry magical items, particularly those related to fire. He survived the Mourning at it's very edge, and has aquired a taste for pyromania as a result. His penchant for setting things on fire has made him an exile of normal society, and uniquely suited for adventuring, which requires burning a great many obstacles out of the way. Most of his equipment is self-made, and just about all of them are predictably fire-related, such as his ring of Fire Resistance, and his Wand of Fireballs. He's reserved an area of the guild just for himself that he fireproofed, just to practice his art, craft, and passion.

Gorian Sliplock [CG Changling Rog5/Sor2]
A so-called lady's gentleman, Sliplock specializes in social encounters and spying. Also an equal-opportunity womanizer, Gorian has many contacts in high places. In the past, attended several exclusive parties and balls, where he plys his trade and partakes in... exotic encounters. His wild ways has just about caught up to him though, and he escaped to the Mercenary Guild under a new identity to let the scene cool down a bit. Maybe a visit to Xen d'rik would be a nice vacation.

Jessica Scayre [TN Bugbear Ftr3/Dru4]
A black sheep from the beginning, Jessica was always more interested in the outdoors than in the military training that the rest of the family underwent. When push came to shove, Jessica absconded and ran off to the Eldeen Reaches, where she recieved her Druidic training. She fought for a few years in the Last War, but when the Thronehold Accords came to be, Jessica abruptly found herself out of a job. Not satisfied with any old guard job in a plush noble's mansion, and the call of nature beaconing, Jessica followed her instincts and found herself in the Merc Guild, where she finds herself not only fitting in, but enjoyable.

I have, in my notes, a team of scoundrels who I plan to have act as a foil for my party. It's a team that could be adventurers if they liked taking risks -- they prefer con games, selling phony artifacts to collectors, that sort of thing.

Lethent Borten, Half-elf rogue. The front man for the operation. Sells himself as the consumate adventurer. Not truly much of a fighter -- but maxed out social skills and lockpicking/disable device skills.

Theech. Changeling Rogue. He's the ace in the hole in most situations -- he'll almost never appear as a member of the group in a given scene, but he's usually around, ready to offer some sort of aid to the party.

Rounder. Warforged fighter. Likes to grapple, and has the feats and abilities to back it up.

Silas of Orcbone, Gnome Expert/Artifier. Creates the fake artifacts so Lethen and his men can avoid the risks of adventuring.

Alcythia, Elf Sorceress. Hangs out with this gang because the moneys' good and she enjoys that Lethent has a crush on her -- although she has no intention of letting it get anywhere. At lower levels, she focuses a lot on her longbow, using spells to beef them up.

What the little band lacks is a healer, so they'll usually have a decent supply of healing potions. Rounder is the only one of the band that likes a stand-up fight, so by and large the group sticks to town and does everything in their power to evade and escape when things get interesting.

Porofrex Ghilibiniri - NG Gnome Bard(oratory) 6 - A slow and deliberate talking gnome with an imperious air, Porofrex is a public field agent for the Trust. He is a mouthpiece for the Trust wherever they need an obvious presence felt. He is commonly in the company of his two Rogue (or Assassin, even) bodyguards. He typically wears black studded leather armor (masterwork), and a grey cloak.
