| Joni-san07-04-04, 02:07 AM | This just might become my un-official column :P, perhaps until I get my own copy... Then you'll have to endure more of these. :D * Screen rolls over Eberron towards Khorvaire and settles over Breland, then finally zooming in on Sharn* *Images of Sharn appear, mostly average street activity * Narrator: Sharn, one of Eberrons largest cities, is said to be the center of everything, it's the place to got to if you want to go into Xen'drik, find a job, study, or find information and many other things beside this. It's also the center for adventuring activity. And thus blades clash in the name of honor, ambition, sterngth and goals of the future. *A young 20-ish handsome male brown-haired half-elf with a scar on his chin wielding a strange rapier going against what seems to be an older man with a white beard and in full plate with a green heraldic tunic on it* Half-Elf: Finally a chance to get revenge for what you did to me! Man: You'll find no such pleasure today! *He draws a sword out of its sheath * One can also find love and sadness * Red-haired beautiful girl in utilitarian dress running towards the Lightning Rail * Girl: Please stay! Don't leave me! Mysterious figure about to step on to the Lightning Rail: NO! Please don't make it harder than it already is! We must never meet again! Eldritch powers... * Young man in black pants and shirt balancing a glowing ball of force in his palm looking at a boy in a red cloak, brushing aside a bit of his blonde hair as he regains his stance from an earlier hit, beside him is a Warforged taking a martial arts stance. The boy stares at the man with his piercing gold-colored eyes* Boy: This isn't over yet * Suddenly the boy takes out a flask, grasps it between his hands, watches it gain a mysterious shine and then throws it at the man * And merriment * Two female sorcerers are in a bar, eating and drinking, watching a bardic troupe performing. Suddenly the one in a shady outfit, the type evil sorcerers used to have hundreds of years ago, puts one of her hands near her mouth and laughs in a high pitch tone that seems to annoy her younger companion Younger Girl: FIRE BALL!!! *A fiery blast appears from her hand and scorches the older one in front of her making her as black as her hair * We never said it would be obvious at the first look * A small party of adventurers are walking through the city, the one leading it being a tallish man in black and white clothing and with a large hat covering his blonde hair and what seems to be a large violin, and he seems to have a crow on his shoulder. The one behind him is a young girl in a red dress. She seems to be holding a religious symbol of some sort. Behind her stands a man with a large golden piano strapped to his back. The last one in the party is a very young boy with a sword almost as long as himself * Ah who are we kidding! We also have fanservice! * Random cute girls are shown in various clothing and poses, the ones that stand out the most are a twin pair of girls who seems to exhibit cat like features, ears and tails being the most obvious * Cameo's by the staff! *A party of characters are going on road that seems to be empty if we except the old janitor minding his own business * *On another busy street a young merchant seems to be apologizing to an older comrade * *A random bar scene shows a drunken, hungry writer asking for some money from an adventuring party* OK. Now that we've got that over let's go through all the rules and changes : * Warforged have a new attachment and it's a box placed on the shoulders that fires arrows that explode on impact * Stats as slot-less armbow with flaming burst * *Jaela Daran, the keeper of the flame, has a magical girl uniform that has silver decoration in the form of flames. In addition when near the flame she gets silver colored stripes in her hair * Wizards and sorcerers using blue clothing and pointy yellow hat get a free dagger * Verbal components of a spell consist either solely of the spells name, a chant or both. * Artificer somatic components are either clapping your hands together and placing them on the object for the infusion or drawing a magic circle on the target and then clapping and placing said hands on the object * There exists a cursed location that can turn you into the opposite gender, one can regain ones original gender by getting hot water on oneself but the curse reappears every time you get splashed with hot water. Same location has springs that can turn you into an animal with similar symptoms * There are only feline and canine Shifters, in addition one has ears and tails of said animal type * One (or more) member of the party has to have odd hair or eye color * Some females can have a fang that is longer than the other, perhaps sticking out sometimes (Shifter ones have both by default long) * Monsters with tentacles have to make a will save or go for the fe... nevermind... * One halfling (npc or pc) must have a mustache that looks like the one this guy (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/eb_gallery/82116.jpg) has. * The part has to have a cute animal (or something that looks like an animal) mascot, although if things get really bad they could use it as emergency rations. The DM must however make sure they never get to do that * A memorable NPC is to be used every now and then (Example: ghost of NPC Commoner who later discards said commoner level and becomes a Sorc/Monk) * Ninjas can be found in the employment of BBEG's for no apparent reason (no reason is given as to how they got there) * One has to shout a technique name when using a feat. Monks must use this at every possible moment * Explosions are ten times bigger, but only do damage to the areas that gain damage by to the rules * This doesn't apply to building, they get torn down by allmost any damage. No-one seems to mind however. They get rebuilt * Half-Dragons that come out of Eggs have bellybuttons (no reason is given) * Should party gain a Skyship, a PC should take levels in the Master Inquisitive PRC, Monk class or get a Eternal wand with many spells * There should be a PC who fought in the war and now refuses to kill a sentient for any reason, in addition you vill use a reverse type weapon of the weapon you used to use (ex: a one sided blade becoming reversed would mean that the blunt end is pointing towards the enemy) * Odds are that if you are a female sorceress you have a magical girl uniform in your inventory. It will most likely never see the light of day * Females gain a +1 bonus to attack against perverts when using some type of hammer * Males get nosebleeds if a attractive female provokes an AoO * The DM should invent Sound effects if he doesn't already know them (ex: glomp and the like) That should be it. An updated list will appear when I get the book or when I remember more stuff Next Parody: Eberron: The Mourning (now who could this be) :D Plus points for noticing where I got them from (Pretty obvious, allthough some are quite obscure) I also hope that this thread doesn't get locked :D... or Ignored... I kept writing more and more stuff for this thread and didn't get any sleep tonight... Well that one was mostly caused by my sleepdeprived fingers started typing gibberish :twitch:, that and causing the mac version of Ctl+Alt+Del or Alt+F4. Not to mention that I noticed that I make more typos than I expected :twitch: |
| Ezekiel07-04-04, 08:06 AM | What can I say? Hilarious! And I know over half of them at least, but I can't be bothered to actually write them down. I do think you've missed a few though: * Evil (male) NPCs who like to get in the way are always LHPB's (longhaired prettyboys), that get +10 on diplomacy to seduce female PCs and NPCs. * There's no max carrying capacity, everyone's pants have built-in bags of holding (or something) * There is no falling damage, for PCs and important (i.e. cool) NPCs. Jumping down from Tokyo To... erm, Barmin Tower in Sharn only makes you look really cool. The ground might get falling damage though (instead of you) And that's all I can think of right now :) |

Am I right? |
| Doji_Kentaro07-04-04, 10:42 AM | Don't forget to add that every inn has a hot spring. |

Am I right? 1) Correct-o! 2) Chigau!!! This one is really obscure. A hint: Using your friends as thrown weapons, Kotatsuman Z and H-o-m-o-niichan ;). Now try figuring this one out *brings hand near face and goes: HOHOHOHO * 3) This one has no correct answer, but I like your choise :D |
| Joni-san07-04-04, 02:19 PM | Ezekiel: Man, how could I forget the Evil Longhaired Prettyboys! I don't deserve to live *commits seppuku* And I also forgot the "no falling damage" and the "pants of time and space". Thanks for adding those to the list :) Doji_Kentaro: How could I forget the hot spring in every inn rule! I must make ammends! *Every time a male PC or NPC tries to peep into the female side of the hot springs he must wear a bath towel around his head, this gives him a +10 circumstance bonus to hide and move silently, but alas no matter how well the attempt is planned something will always stop him. This can range from meteors, thrown baskets or fruit, magical curses or any other Deus Ex Machina the DM can conjure up *If PC's attemt to get naughty in private the DM must use Deus Ex Machina to stop this, all measures are allowed (this including blowing up the whole building if so needed) |

Slayers, or wierldy could be done as A Dragon Ball 2. Don't know the real source, but reminds be of 8-bit theatre 3. This is DB/Z/GT, the last bit however reminds me of Hokfu(sp?) from Jackey Chan Adventures(its sad I admit to watching that) 4.Come on no one has gotten this yet? Or is it too easy, Roroni Kenshin(probably botched the spelling, but you can figure it out) 5. Another thing that reminds be of 8-Bit |
| Ezekiel07-04-04, 06:40 PM | Actually, some of them have multiple answers. Like the (in?)famous catgirls, females hitting perverts, etc etc. One of the best ones you have there is the Excel Saga based "pet that could be used as emergancy food source" :) And here's one more: * House Cannith secretly produces collosal warforged-like constructs with inserts for humanoid pilots, though said pilots can only be children. |
| hiryuu07-04-04, 07:04 PM | Ah, but they are Eberron's only hope against the giant denizens of Xoriat come to destroy Sharn! |

Nevermind they all would have had to had their minds gently caressed *cough* by a Quori, so that they're seriously f-ed up in the state of mind/relationships department... One female must be the trapped soul of a Daelykr in a human body. Another must be 1/2 Brelish, 1/2 Karrnathi and be female and have red hair. (never mind the genetics of such a union would make black hair) The sole male must be Brelish and have a hateful bastard of a father. |
| Doji_Kentaro07-05-04, 01:58 AM | Something else to add, the obligatory swimsuit episode.:D |
| hiryuu07-22-04, 08:21 AM | One of the merchant houses is really run by Daelkyr and is making shapeshifting aberrations out of its employees. Only one young man and a retractable symbiotic suit of armor can stop them from taking over the world One young boy thought his life was perfectly normal. That is, until he met her. An elf on a dinosaur who clubbed him over the head with a lute. Now he's got golems crawling out of his head and more personal problems.....that elven woman's just moved in with him.... and she claims to be not of Eberron.... 1) Maids are mammals. 2) Maids kill people all the time. 3) The purpose of the maid is to flip out and kill aberrations. DOn't forget the obligatory high school student from Earth who's either female (gets emroiled in sweeping intrigue related plots and love triangles) or male (gets chased after by multiple..erm... females... and is instrumental in defeating the army of giant insects using an ancient weapon left behind by the giants in the shape of a human woman (WTF?), for tonight, the land echo with insane laughter and bad French. |
