| Fabian05-24-05, 04:54 PM | Are there any Eberron PBEMs out there? I would like to play but reading along as a lurker would be fine as well. Thanks! Fabian |
| Krevon05-24-05, 05:18 PM | Why don't you start one? |
| chimpman05-24-05, 05:22 PM | There are quite a few Eberron games on the Real Adventures Board (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=500) (also check out the setup boards for new games). |
| Gurv05-24-05, 05:37 PM | I beat Edymnion to it? Wow. Check out http://rpol.net/. It's a great online play by post location with all the tools you need, and lurkers will have a field day skimming through all of it. There are any number of Eberron games going on there already. |
| Edymnion05-24-05, 07:36 PM | I beat Edymnion to it? Wow.Bah, this is what I get for logging off for an hour or two to do some reading the old fashioned way. Yeah, RPOL is the best. |
| Fabian05-24-05, 10:32 PM | Thanks for the info, but both of those links take you to 'Play by Post' games. I was hoping for a 'Play By EMail' game. You know, where the DM gathers the posts by the players and weaves them into a little 'Turn' (like a chaper in a book). You just can't do that with 'Play by Post' games. I'm just getting information on Eberron so it will take me a bit to come to speed to actually host a game. I've DMed PBEM games in the past so hosting another one would be pleasure provided I find interested players... Thanks again, Fabian |

How would game play actaully take place? Are there time frames for which people must reply to emails? Im interested in a little more detail if you wouldnt mind. Thanks |
| Radkres05-24-05, 11:15 PM | The only one I have found is Eberron Unfettered (http://www.pbm.com/~lindahl/pbm_list/descriptions/1088839667.28837.html) |

Im interested in a little more detail if you wouldnt mind. Thanks You can make the game as fast or slow as you want; I usually like mine to have 2 turns per week which means that players must post within 48 hours of the turn coming out. Here's a link to an old PBEM I've hosted: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Dunes/3429/FSJD1.htm It is for a different world and mechanics, but the PBEM part is the same. The site has General Rules, sample posts, characters, and turns. Feel free to browse the site and let me know if you have any comments. I hope this helps, Fabian |
| getyourspotusa05-25-05, 02:23 PM | Here's one: (www.pbem.com, I am playing the Human Artificer) Title: Eberron Game seeks just a few new players From: Chad cfbrunner@yahoo.com Date: Friday, April 22, 2005 Hi everyone! I've been running an Eberron game for about a month now, and I can find room for a few more players. The characters just got to 2nd level, and they're still getting a feel for their capabilities. Right now, the characters are in two groups of 2, and I have been running private threads for each of the characters as well. The current group consists of: Changeling Rogue Human Rogue (Dragonmarked) Human Artificer Warforged Fighter As you can see, the group is light on both divine and arcane magic. The game is based in Sharn, so if you're interested, please drop me an email with a brief description of your character! |
| Mula05-25-05, 04:39 PM | If you want to have a Play-by-Post game, www.dndonlinegames.com is the best place to go. |
| knightserpent05-25-05, 07:09 PM | Does anyone just use chat to play? PBIM anyone? |
| chimpman05-25-05, 10:12 PM | I used OpenRPG for a while (which is essentially play by IM with some bells and whistles attached) http://www.openrpg.com/ That worked well as long as my group could all get online at the same time. Organizing that for people in different towns/time zones was pretty tough though, and eventually we stopped playing that way. It's just easier to do a pbp. It takes longer of course... |
| spidertrag05-26-05, 08:36 PM | I have a 'non-standard' Eberron game just starting up---its definately not for everyone  its here Eberron: Stone of Sorrows (http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=133602) |
| PsiRogue05-26-05, 08:48 PM | Wait, wasn't that game on rpol.net for all of thirty minutes? |
| spidertrag05-26-05, 09:31 PM | Wait, wasn't that game on rpol.net for all of thirty minutes? ya, briefly---something about my home pc (a lap top) just seemed to go wonky everytime I tried to add something or do some kind of change---pity, I liked several aspects of rpol |
