| Sir Elton04-28-05, 11:21 PM | I know this is a general board for Eberron and all. But I'm asking a question. Would it be kosher to post complete short stories here? |
| KP9104-28-05, 11:49 PM | I think you could post them here. I don't know what board they fit on better. Are these myths you made for Eberron or stories of your players? |
| Lord Psynister04-29-05, 12:38 AM | I'm pretty sure they could be posted here. But, if for some reason they can't, I don't think it would be that big of a problem for us to get a site set up somewhere where you could post them instead. |

Well, I was thinking of doing a mileu story. Formula: hero comes from a familiar world and into a fantastic one, such as Eberron. He has adventures in said world while trying to get home. Stories that use the Milieu quotient: Alice in Wonderland, Gulliver's Travels, The Wizard of Oz, El Hazard: Wanderers. Sort of like a myth. |
| Cutlass04-29-05, 01:22 AM | There was a time before which he could not remember. What memory he did have was badly disjointed and made no sense at all in his current context. Flashes of vision, words in a language he could not now understand. Feelings the likes of which he could not now experience. The feel of sweat covering his body, the heat and humidity of the place where he had been. Trees the likes of which did not grow where he was now. Something in his hands that looked like a crossbow but was not. A thing that made noises like thunder and appeared to spit lightning. Hands that were flesh and blood while his hands now were made of stone, wood and metal. In the vision, he was wearing some sort of green uniform while most of those around him were wearing black. There was an intense fight going on in which the crossbow like weapons were the only kind that seemed to be in use. Only one or two other people in green still seemed to be fighting. A voice that was apparently his spoke words that were gibberish. "Delta 2 Lima, this is Foxtrot 4 Charlie. We are being overrun. Target my position with destructive fire. Over." A reply came from something that looked like a box. "Foxtrot 4 Charlie, this is Delta 2 Lima. Target your position with destructive fire. God be with you. Over. Out." The vision ended with a blinding flash of light. Then his current existence began. He was standing now. He was not flesh and blood, but stone, wood and metal. Yet somehow life still clung to him. A man came and talked to him. He was told to take a place in a line of other stone, metal and wood beings that had emerged from the same place he had come from just moments before. It was strange, because he could understand this man perfectly, even though the language the man was speaking was not the language from the vision. The man said to him: "You are a warforged that has been created in accordance with an order that was placed by the Royal Cyran Special Forces. Because you look just like the other warforged who were created for this order, we are going to give you all individual designations so we can tell you apart. When you get to your destination, they may give you another name. But for now you are F4C." |
