| The Forgotten Traveler09-18-05, 04:42 PM | If you have read the introduction to the Explorer's Handbook you know it is from the veiwpoint of Thunvarch, A NPC. I was wondering, do people like these? I also wanted to set up a place to make your own Eberron character Book Introductions. See the rules below. The introduction can be for any non ECS Eberron book. It must be in the viewpoint of a character or NPC you have designed. The introduction can also be for Magic Of Eberron, or any Eberron Book that you came up with the idea for.Let's see the introduction's begin! Sincerely, The Forgotten Traveler :mage: :dragon: |
| The Forgotten Traveler09-18-05, 07:34 PM | I have decided to change it from a contest to a causual place to post the introductions. :D Sincerely, The Forgotten Traveler :mage: :dragon: |

| remathilis09-24-05, 07:10 PM | I'll bite. I loved it. Especially about skipping the maps and buying more rope. Wouldn't mind more. |
| Lup1n309-24-05, 07:38 PM | Some I do, some I do not. Case in point, I liked and still like Volo's Guide to Magic. I can't really say the same for the others. As long as we don't wind up with constant snarky asides from some of the more prominent NPCs in the setting detailing the game mechanics, then I don't really mind the style. I believe it gives a bit more flavor to the overall product. Then again, I am one of those people who like my fluff:crunch ratio at or close to 2:1. |
| JesseDennehy09-24-05, 07:39 PM | I liked it. Was it written by Rich Burlew or one of the other designers? |

I'll try to write my own intro if I have time. I'm glad I'm not the only one who like these In-Character things! :) Sincerely, The Forgotten Traveler :mage: :dragon: |
| Galahad_Knight09-26-05, 06:37 AM | I initially skipped it, but when my eyes were drawn to the Wayfarer's side pannels (got, they were funny!) I went back and read the intro. It was good. I wouldn't say it's a very important feature to me, but a well written intro (if anyone bothers reading it) can be fun |
| The Forgotten Traveler09-27-05, 08:44 PM | I may not have time to write my own. I'll see what I can do. No guarantees. |
| AlHazred09-28-05, 03:10 PM | The introduction actually garnered a lot of positive press from RPG.net, which is incredibly rare for a WotC product. For that kind of thing alone, I'd say that it's worth a lot. |
