just wondering if any one would think that D20 modern (fantasy conversion) would be really good rule set with Eberron.

I have tried to use d20 Modern rulesets with fantasy games in the past...and you run into a lot of issues. The biggest issue is availability of healing magic. You may not realize how important healing spells are until you watch 5th level characters get crushed by a CR 3 creature just because they have no easy access to healing (ala a standard Cleric).

Spellcasters are an advanced or even a prestige class under the d20 Modern rules and are comparatively weaker than a standard D&D wizard, sorcerer, cleric, druid, or even bard.

If you utilize a few of the alternate rules from UA, like the refreshing pool of extra hit points, it might work out better in the long run, because the PCs, no matter what, just wont have the same level of healing as in a standard game.

Plus, Eberron is a very high magic (as technology) setting, and i dont think making spellcasters second class citizens is the way to go with this.
