Eberron video game [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-13-04, 10:09 PM This campaign setting has a lot of prodjects, including a RTS game in the works. I'm a big RTS fan and a fan of Eberron so this game is gonna rule. It's a shame it won't be out until 2005.

I'm glad it's RTS. I'm a huge RTS fan. I'm finally glad that there is a D&D RTS for once. I was gettin bored with the Baldurss gate/ Icewind dale games (there were pretty much the same, not very innovative if you ask me).

05-14-04, 11:31 PM Hmm not a big RTS fan at all, gimme an CRPG any day of the week.

I prefer turn based or pause options for my Strategy games, I hate being rushed and missing the visual elegance unfolding on screen.

Still Ill probably get it anyway.

05-15-04, 09:56 AM As far as I've seen, there are still two seperate games in production.

The Eberron one is RTS, and is being done by the Liquid Entertainment team, who previously did the "Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring" RTS (so chances are good that Eberron one will be sorta similar but better).

The standard D&D one is a MMORPG, and is being done by the Turbine Games team, who previously did the "Asheron's Call" MMORPG (so chances are good that the D&D one will be sorta similar but better).

05-15-04, 11:07 AM Actually, from what I understand, the D&D online game is also set in Eberron. Wizards is really pulling out all the stops for their new setting. :D
