So I've been playing around with Paint.Net recently, trying to improve my limited photoshopping skills. I decided to try out an Eberron nightscape, and now that it's pretty much finished, I thought I'd post it to see what you guys thought/had ideas on how it could be improved.

It's only available in 1920x1200 at the moment, but here's a preview:

And hey, if anyone else has any custom Eberron wallpapers, post them here too!

Ok, so that's pretty much infinitely superior to the similar one I tried awhile back. It's looks amazing, well done.

Only thing I might suggest is sneaking in one of the dragon constellations in slightly brighter stars, which would be cool. But seriously, it looks awesome.

Now that's nice. I ended up changing my desktop image for the first time in the last 4 years. It doesn't look too bad at 1600x1200 as it is.

Brighten the light given off by the elemental and add a reflection of the airship. If the ship is close enough to the landmass on the horizon, add ambient light.

Overall, pretty darn good.

I'd like to see someone make a Lhazaarscape with that embodies the drama in the 4:03-5:18 segment of "Jack Sparrow's Theme" from Dead Man's Chest. I've seen some pretty good pieces of artwork floating around on the net, but nothing that looks how that bit of music [I]sounds[I] in full-force 5.1...

This looks great, but if you see other images of a moon or sun reflecting off a body of water, it's much more distorted, and is more of an elongated blur of light than a mirrored image.

Thanks everyone :)

When I find some time, I'll see how putting in one of the constellations works.

The relfections I have assume calm, still water. If I could figure out how to get a good 3D wave effect *beyond me at the moment :(), you'd probably see better distortion on the moon. That said, remember that Zarantyr appears 10x bigger than the moon, so it's likely to look less disorted overall.

I don't think a brighter light would look right given the darkness of the rest of the picture, but I could give it a go.
The airship, like Dravago on the left, is too high above the horizon for the reflection to appear. Likewise, I think it's too far from the mountains in the background to light them up.
