Has anyone considered how to make a Prestige Class for Druids for the druid sects? I'm considering just modifying Eldeen Ranger by removing Hated Foe and Favored Enemy abilities, changing the BAB to Moderate, switching the good saves to Fort and Will and giving spell progression for levels 2-5. Does that seem over or under powered? The requirements would probably have to change too. Maybe keep the alignment the same, Skills: K(nature) 8, Survival 6, ability to cast third (second?) level divine spells, and the wild empathy class feature (or maybe the ability to spontaneously cast Summon Nature's Ally).

On a related note, does anyone know if there's been any comment from Keith Baker on Ashbound attitudes towards psionics? I can ask in the AKB thread, but if he's already covered it I don't want to spam.

Personally I don't see it as being necessary. An Ashbound Druid, a Greensinger Druid, and a Child of Winter are all still Druids. I think the ECS has done a good job of providing an alternate method of differentiation: Feats.

I don't think all the various sects have specific feats for them, but I know the Greensingers and Gatekeepers do. The slight change to the Druid spell list is really all they need. Children of Winter can take the feats necessary to wildshape into vermin or have vermin as companions, and I think that's cool as is, without needing to PrC it up.

Really, there isn't much mechanical difference between the various sects, is there? As far as I can tell it's predominantly an attitude thing.

Well, the Eldeen Ranger prestige class from the ECS is based around the different druid sects, but it's a Ranger PrC. It just seems rather strange to me that the druid sects have a Ranger PrC but not a Druid one.

Of course it's not necessary but it seems like it makes sense for there to be one.

(And yes, all the major sects mentioned in the ECS have a feat associated with them.)

While I'd like a prestige class for an Eldeen Druid, the problem lies in that "an" Eldeen Druid. With all the different sects, it's hard to come up with a very specific prestige class that covers all aspects of the various sects. So, I believe they did a good job with actually putting quite powerful feats in the ECS instead of a prestige class.
