one of the great things about eberron is the justification of eldrich machiens ( I always used that kind of things, but could never realy justify them, less than making tham divine apparati!)
but now there allowed, so...

what kind of machiens can you think of?

a time machien!
a genetic manipulator!
a forcefield emmitter!
a tractor beam!
a warp machien ( capable of warping mass, not warp like startrek)!

I was thinking of one, used by a cult (either existing or start up for personal game) that transformed someone into a half-fiend.

Spelling Machine!
Checks spelling of all documents processed by it, an invaluable tool for all of house Sivis saving hours of editing.

Coffee Machine!
Produces a black vicous liquid capable of keeping a character awake past thier bed time, and offers no penalty for exhaustion if kept being consumed. Certainly not addictive. Powered by a bound Coffee Omnimental.

Exercise Machine!
This eldritch machine runs a long track capable of moving a person without having them go anywhere. It's speeds can be set so that a person of greater speed can train running at a faster pace.

Gumball Machine!
This particularly large eldritch machine holds a glass glode toward it's pinnacle filled with strange spherical plane like objects. The spherical objects remain within the eldritch machine until a crown(copper) is inserested into the wheel in the mid section of this machine. If the wheel is then turned with the copper inside, pending it is not a slug; one of the spherical obejects will be released from the pinnacle and roll down a small circular track towards the bottom. It falls into a small trap metallic door at the bottom of the eldrtich machine. The sphere is consumable, and to be kept in the mouth at all times. Some rumors state that people have seen some patrons of this strange eldritich machine blow the mass of the once sphereical object into a ballon and then pop it creating a small sonic effect.

Copy Machine!
This wonderful machine is a favored of the gnomes of Zilgaro. Capable of reproducing any printed document for a mere silver sovergein. Be warned! this eldrtich machine takes at least a century to warm up before it is ready and stable to use, so do not deactivate it after you are done with it. Other people need to make copies too ya know? This eldritch machine is powered by a large bound Light Omnimental.

Adding Machine!
This odd eldritch machine is capable of being held within the palm of one's hand and can perform simple mathematical instructions to complex mathematical equations simply by pressing it's numbered keys. A decipher script check is necessary to find out the meaning of "Mem, e^x, and log(x)", though none who have used this machine has seem to have mastered these commands uit eyet or what they truly mean. It forever be a mystery. A display screen is towards the top of this eldritich machine which displays the entered data and the results. Dwarves of House Kunderak positively love this eldtrich device.

Cleaning Machine!
This strange and surpisingly light eldritch machine is portable, and stands about shoulder high to a normal human. Bound within is a large air elemental, and when activated the eldritch cleaning machine begins to syphon all dirt, dust, and small particles on floors, ceilings, and furnature into it for storage and later disposal. House Ghallandra has made use of it's eldritch cleaning machines many times over in thier hotels and eateries.

Soda Machine!
There are two types of Eldritch Soda Machines.

Type I: Fountain
This specfic eldritch soda machine makes use of mineral and essences of earth elemental's trapped inside which are processed and cooled by a water elemental's power. The resulting product is a fizzy, and peppy drink known as 'soda' or Semi Omnimental Drinking Aquisition is all the rage in House Ghallandra eateries.

Type II: Dispenser
This second type of Eldritch soda machine does not produce the product mentioned above, but only stores it in contains of arrying material determined ahead of time by the caster; aluminum, mythral, adamantine, and glass maybe chosen, and cools the beverage until it is purchased through use a of a House Kunderak 'coin slot'. The Machine dispenses soda depending on which pictograph the patron touches. When the symbol "Out of Stock" appears it is time to refill your eldrtich machine. A bound water elemental cools the product.

A recent expedition to Xen'Drik has recovered a number of ancient Eldritch Machines, whose functions remain a mystery despite much Morgrave-funded research. Here is what has been discovered so far:

The Hex Box: this strange contraption is apparently "only good for Halo"--a personal Consecrate-like effect, perhaps?

The Gaim Cube: Somewhat like Docent components, the Cube is very smart but far from useful. It seems the Giants were still developing applications for this machine when the Quori attacked.

The Piestew: By far the most interesting Eldritch Machine ever created, the Piestew allows the wielder to fight in any number of styles, with proficiency in an almost unlimited range of weaponry. Unfortunately, this ability only works while the wielder is sitting on his rear, concentrating on a pane of phosphored glass, fighting imaginary enemies. If House Cannith artificers find a way to transfer the effect to actual combat, the balance of power in Eberron is sure to shift forever.

Gaimboyad Vanst: Possibly the only Eldritch Machine that does not require the presence of a Manifest Zone to operate (perhaps due to a miniature Orrery contained inside?). Similar to the other machines listed above, with the notable difference that no external foci or material components are needed for its operation. Those Giants were clever fellows!

Cooking Machine!
This eldritch machine is powered by a large fire elemental and is adept at heating food certain foods. While it might not be the best for cooking them throughly. Food is placed within the box like container and sealed by closing the door. A UMD, or decipher script check of 10 will allow oyu to properly set the correct time of day, time of cooking, and power level you want the food to be cooked at. There are usually 13 power levels, one of which never heats the food at all.

Such machines are used by the drow on a day to day basis, for th busy shaman on the go, or a warrior who just can't seem to have the time to make a kill in the jungles; a hot cooked meal can be reheated the next day. This makes Drow society a bit adept at thier skills, and less at cooking. NEVER stare into a cooking machine while it is on. You'll ruin your wisdom modifier.

I'm still in favor of the hot chocolate machine (those who were in the chat when this subject came up know what I mean)...
