| spidertrag06-15-05, 08:36 PM | My brain must be malfunctining today cause I cant remember what the 'official' symbol for the emerald claw looks like. Can anyone help? |
| polt06-15-05, 09:00 PM | And Emerald Claw? |
| Bluebrush06-15-05, 09:06 PM | Yup. A stylised long emerald claw. You can see bits of it on the shields of the Emerald Claw goons in this picture: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/eb_gallery/82077.jpg But more clearly in this one: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/iw06022005_ebscreen.jpg Note that on tunics, you can see more of the arm. |
| spidertrag06-15-05, 09:07 PM | And Emerald Claw? <insert rimshot> :) |
| Siran Dunmorgan06-15-05, 09:15 PM | More precisely, an emerald claw reaching upward, generally depicted against a silver or light gray background; it could be mistaken for a ball of green fire, with upward-reaching flames. My understanding is that it is a representation of a claw of Erandis d'Vol herself, formerly a green half-dragon of elven stock, now a lich—or possibly dracolich: authorities are divided on this latter point. —Siran Dunmorgan |

| Solarious06-16-05, 01:48 AM | I like this one, by MarkB: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/m.blunden/dnd/EmeraldClawTattoo.jpg It was branded into an Order of the Emerald Claw operative's armpit... then tattoed in with extra-vibrant inks. Painful, unplesant, and difficult to reproduce. |
| Raster06-16-05, 02:11 PM | http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/iw06022005_ebscreen.jpg Note that on tunics, you can see more of the arm. What's this picture from? It's really cool, and clearly Eberron, but I've never seen it before... |
| WotC_AndyS06-16-05, 04:44 PM | What's this picture from? It's really cool, and clearly Eberron, but I've never seen it before... Part of it was used for the cover of the Grasp of the Emerald Claw adventure. The full image is going on the Eberron DM screen. |
