I've got a problem. I'm moving to Charlotte at the end of this semester, but we are in the middle of the Campaign I am DMing.

Currently they are fighting the Thieves of the Mind ( check out http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=319446 for info on TotM) for the Kings Dark Lanterns, and after that I plan on sending them on a chase after the Artificier who killed Elaydren (her sister, Mina d'Cannith, has been giving the PC quests for schema since then) and stole the first schema (SP?) piece they recovered. Here’s my problem, by the time all of this happens it will be mid November, and I'll only have a month and two maybe three gaming sessions before Christmas and my move to Charlotte.

Ian, James, Ed, Eric, or Brad, if you guys are reading this thread, please move on.

I don't want to just end the campaign, but I don't know what to do. What I was thinking was to have my PCs go on another mission for the Kings Dark Lanterns; one that they know is potentially lethal. It will involve tracking down a Cult of Murders or Group of Anarchists who operate from deep within the Cogs, or some other dangerous location, and destroying them. The adventure will end with the PCs being victorious, but it will end with the PCs giving their lives to save the lives of many. This allows for the PCs of my next campaign to both research the actions on the current PCs (they assassinated Luken ir'Clarn for the Dark Lanterns, recovered the schemas in the Forgotten Forge and Whitehearth, are 'terminating' the TotM for the Dark Lanterns, and will be going after the aforementioned sect) and recover the schemas currently gained as well as finish up the schema plotline. I'm not sure how well this will work, but I'd like to get ideas/opinions from anyone who has one.

And one more thing, I'm still looking for people in the Charlotte N.C. area who play Eberron. I'd prefer to play, but I am willing to DM.

Well, I don't know your players, but finishing a campaign with the death of the PCs with no way to survive may be a little frustrating for sombody.
(It's really a matter of personal taste... I would personally like to play in such a campaign once in a while, but maybe your players are really bound to their PCs and maybe want to continue using them with another DM...) This is only my personal point of view, sorry if I cannot help more.

I wouldn't go leathal on them. BUT I might go with the NOIR feeling that is Eberron, and let the PC's outcome be a mystery. Investigations can still be sent to see what happen but no answers may ever come. They may be presummed dead only to have them return later (if you all get back together sometime or something).

I don't know if that senario is an option, I'd stick with the mysterious ending and seer clear of out right killing them off. I'd definitly leave them wondering though.

*Leaves .02 cents* :)

Well it seems you have some time till your move so you still have some options. Look on the web for a place you and your players can play online. There are many bullitin board sites (including this one I believe) that you could run your game on in post format. Or use chat programs or chat rooms on some of these sites (ezboard.com is one I know has chat) to play a more real-time game. Or just play over email. Our primary GM (We all have DMed in our group at one time or another) just moved away and he is setting up a web game for us.

What about dice rolling, how can I be sure they don't fudge, and what not? I trust my players, but its tempting to roll a critical on Mr.Doom when hes about to kill you.

There are Dice rolling programs out there.

OpenRPG (http://www.openrpg.com) is a nice program to use

That's up to you. There are dice rollers out there that you can use.

http://www.invisiblecastle.com/ is one my GM uses,

http://www.daggerford.com/dice/diceserver.asp sends a verification email to the DM

There are probably others. I think RPG.net or dndonlinegames.com has a roller in the forums themselves. Hope this helps.
