I'm pretty sure this hasn't been brought up. What if Hecatomb (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=ht/welcome) was set in Eberron instead of a modern setting? And then you had players pitted against Endbringers? Hecatomb fiction (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=ht/article/20050727a) supports the concept of powerful individuals standing up to Endbringers, so why not a party of adventurers?

The orginizations of Eberron wouldn't be changed at all. The only group working towards the end of the world (directly) would be the four Endbringers (Corruption, Deciet, Destruction, and Greed), and they would manipulate the organizations to do their bidding through various means. Even the most pure organizations, like the Silver Flame (bad example, actually), would be at the whims of Endbringers, if only because they would strive put down the most powerful Endbringer while letting the other three regain power.

Based off of what has been revealed of Abominations in Hecatomb, making an Abomination from D&D monsters wouldn't be too hard. Probably something involving stacking HD and abilities with a few rules on how they "peel" properly.

Anyways, does anybody have some ideas on running a campaign with the BBEGs being Endbringers? My gut reaction was to have the PCs be guided and assisted left and right by whoever are the three weakest Endbringers at the time, though they would try to make it as subtle as possible. ("Oops, clumsy me, I just dropped a +2 vorpal dragonsbane sword in my haste to get away from the rampaging wrym!")
