EotLQ: Confusing maps for Webbed Caverns [spoilers] [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-13-07, 02:58 PM p.87: "The entrance gives way to a ledge overlooking a steep drop with no bottom in sight. The sticky sheet webs before you appear to be the only method of traversing the cavern."

The maps for the two encounter areas on p.96 and p.95 (why are they in reverse order) don't reflect this at all. Not only are they two separate caverns that don't have webs or the drop to the cavern floors indicated, but the entrance where the PCs start is around a corner and 40' away from where the spider that's "directly above the PC's location."

I'm really confused. Anyone able to offer some clarification?

EotLQ started off really strong, but there are so many errors on the maps the further our group progresses that I'm getting more and more frustrated with it. I can deal with the story railroad; but the messed up encounters is getting annoying.

10-13-07, 10:05 PM I got to this last week and had similar issues. The maps (especially the left path) don't match up with the descriptions. I plan on adding it to the errata thread, not that I ever expect it to be addressed.

Hey Guys!

I'm traveling right now so I don't have my books at my fingertips, but as soon as I get back to NYC, I'll check this out. Sorry about the confusion, hope I can offer some assistance when I get back to Queens.

Also, if you ever see a question posted that could use a response on any book I worked on, by all means PM me if I don't chime in...my web-fu is weak, so sometimes I don't catch all the threads. I'll get back to you guys soon on this!
