I'm a bit confused. When did they defeat the daelkyr? Did that happen before the campaign start, and if not, what level were they? How many daelkyr did they defeat? Did you know you can use classed daelkyr (who would be epic challenges)? I wouldn't be surprised if the daelkyr could wake up the fiends trapped in Khyber ... that would be a nasty surprise. A pit fiend with levels of blackguard, say, would be plain nasty, especially since he has a whole organization behind him. The players should come up with their own concepts, and if they can't come up with any, they should still be using the epic feat rules.
