Hello. My players are gonna become epic. I want to use an adventure that after they conclude it, they will become 21st level or more... depending on xp... Anyways, im going to get them to create and eldritch Machine, that radiates an aura of positive energy so powerful that does 25 damage to an undead per second(OUCH, 150 per round). Its gonna be hard as hell, or at least im making it hard as hell.

They need to find the instructions on Xendrik(in an area they have seen, not so hard)
They need 5000 pounds of a material called glittersteel, native to syrannia.
They need the heart of a pit fiend that has been purified(to do so they need to inmerse it in the silver flame).
They need 10 deathless of 15 hit dice or more to sacrifice in order to power the machine.
They need to build it in a manifest zone to Irian.
Building Time one month(no matter how good they are with there checks)
Find 6 trustworthy minions to help buildit
They have to protect the machine against the blood of vol true minions, while the minions they look for build it.
Use the machine to attack fort bones.
Make Kaius III(or I) leave the throne and expose his secret.

All of this ordered by Aureon(or at least thats what they think, its actually the Shadow, MUAHAHA)

Is it oK? or is it to long/hard?

Sounds suitably heroic. Just one question, did they actually MEET Aureon/The Shadow? Or was it just ordered through an outsider that believes in him?

You can not gain more than one level per session, IIRC.

Your point being? Judging by his post, his PCs are 20th level.

Well kinda met him... In a dream. You see, one of the Pcs is a cleric of Aureon. The other Pc is a mage. The other one a monk/sorcerer; so Aureon is liking the party(a loyal servant, a knowledge firsty guy, a lawful sorcerer...) and the Shadow knows that... MUAHAHA So he met them in a dream, he arranged so that nothing could interfere and just to be safe he made them utterly powerless in the realm. They met the Shadow. MAUHAHAHAHA

That's only by convention. A DM is free to ignore in any rule that limits the fun and if the PCs need to level after every encounter they deserve it. At epic levels the game breaks down quickly anyways. At 24th or 25th level in one campaign my group was swapping out spheres a mile in diameter from the earth elemental plane so we could mine it. I had a character who could cast Wish(9th level) once per day without the XP component as a full round action.

The list of materials looks fun, if you have gotten the EH I would suggest adding Khyber shards to the list. Nice big fat ones. Is it really the Shadow or could it be Vol manipulating people again? Or maybe the Dreaming Dark? What about the Hag Daughters of Sora Kell? Once you add two to three additional people on top of your actual one you can introduce paranoia if the players ever discover they are being used by a darker force. That's Eberron.

Thank you everybody. Your opinions are alredy helping me shape the adventure accordingly. One question. I have this friend/foe 18th level Medusa. But im not sure what Effective character level i should give to it, because when she is an ally of the Pcs in an encounter with 4 dolgaunts and a mind flayer she consumes xp also. Her Challenge Rating is 25. My characters are actually 24 with the effective character level thingy. They gain levels as 24 level characters, but they wont be able to get more class levels until they finish the asgnment. Im going to add to the list of things:

-5 small sized khyber dragonshards.
-A soul binded by the spell soul bind(DAH) of an evil creature of 21 hit dice or more.

I think the table on page 39 of the DMG sums it up. Is the encounter half as difficult with the medusa or slightly less difficulty. If the encounter is less than half as difficult the medusa should not be fighting as it takes stage time away from your players. I'd say your looking at 2/3 or 3/4 xp for an encounter that involves the medusa as an ally.
