| mithrilmoon12-30-06, 10:39 PM | I'm DMing for and eberron campaign using the premade Shadows of the Last War and on page 30 there's something listed as an "essence node of blinding" under treasure in the kennel. What on earth is that? I've looked under spells, equipment, and magic items in the player's guide, dungeon master's guide, eberron campaign setting, and the arms and equipment guide but it's not listed in any of them! |

The item was left out of the module (due to pace constraints I would imagine). The erratta indicates that an essence node of the scout should be substituted. TG |

Option 2: The errata (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/SotLW_Errata12032004.zip) states it should be an Essence of the Scout. Whichever works best for you. |

Essence Node of Blinding A dark metal disk engraved with symbols representing Blindness. When embedded in the chest of a warforged, it occupies the same space on the body as an amulet and provides the same effect as a Shield of Blinding. Moderate Evocation; CL 7th; CWI, searing light; Price: 22,680gp. I haven't bothered yet with changing the format to how new magic items are shown in the newer sourcebooks. |

But I'm pretty sure it's how the math worked out. I should or could go back and refigure in that it's for a specific race. While it's a lot of money, if they managed to sell it, it's only half the ammount listed. 11,340 gp. Then say a four way split, that's 2835 gp. Still a lot. And as it is race specific, they more then likely would get offered less for it. As I recall, my party's WF of the time, kept the item and didn't ever sell it off. |

I liked the stats you made up for it though, but I'd probably just save it for a higher level campaign since my players are the type who steal the doors adn try to sell them too. |
