| Undying_Councillor07-02-06, 11:52 PM | I'm embarkign on re-running all of my classic D&D Modules (even tossing around the idea of running it as 1st Edition to keep the flavour of the adventures) and have been reminiscing about fun times in the Tomb of Horrors, White Plume Mountain, The Temple of Elemental Evil... But I digress. It strikes me that Expedition to the Barrier Peaks would be a neat module to re-invent for the Eberron setting, perhaps as a lair in Cyre. It is very much a one-trick pony (but it is such a good trick) with the robots [I have read one of the frequent posters' rules - I can repeat "Warforged are not robots"] and the like that players are very likely to already know of it and thus the suspension of disbelief becomes just that touch harder. If it were to be looked at in another light, perhaps a fresh level of enjoyment can come from quite an innovative module. I know that many gamers I've spoken with despise the module, so I'm not expecting a huge wave of support here, just wondering if anyone else has thought of doing it or has some other ideas that could be added. |
