Eyes of the Lich Queen cover? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-03-07, 03:17 PM I assume that a book that, according to WotC newsfeed, has gone to the printer already has a cover. Why, one month before release, is it still MIA?

03-04-07, 03:43 PM She's been keeping up on her Gentle Reposes, so her skin is in fairly good shape, but some adventurers came in recently and threw her off schedule. She had to use those spell slots for combat spells, and now she's rotting a little under her chin. She needs to get Thuranni to kidnap her a Phiarlan makeup artist.

I remember that my little cousins were allowed to watch that when it came out. They're teens now, but at the time they were like...6 and 7 or something. Yikes. That was a little racy for 7 year olds.

Seriously. Isaballa Rossellini as barely clad immortal, Lisle von Roman, isn't exactly a sight I'd show to an excitable 7 year old.

Hell, I wouldn't show it to most excitable 30 year olds I know.

And yes, April won't arrive soon enough. Beefing up a few encounters so I can run this pre Grasp of the Emerald Claw might work out if there are some linkages in the EotLQ storyline that I can use.

1. The adventure is not out yet.

2. The name indicates that she is involved, but not necessarily that there is a clash with her directly. I think it's more likely to be EC minions. Thus, probably no stats.

3. We do actually have her race, template and class already, and have since the ECS, although, since she's dragon type, it'd be dracolich not lich (although since none of my players would encounter her until epic levels anyway, I've just replaced the dracolich template with a dracodemilich template cobbled together from the ELH and the Draconomicon).

This one and Voyage of the Golden Dragon, which wasn't really related to the other three (four if you count Forgotten Forge). Actually, arguably Whispers of the Vampire's Blade isn't really related other than the one train encounter. But yeah.

Of course, some people consider Dungeon Magazine adventures official.

Well, the thread already established what happened: Vol forgot her Gentle Repose and so had to send in a body double. What are the best Eberron doubles? Changelings. However, it then occurred to Erandis that she spent millenia making sure nobody knew she still existed and changelings are not exactly known for their trustworthiness - so the changeling in question was told at the last second that it would have to impersonate Random Swordsman 1 because of his great importance during the adventure.

There is quite an ever growing cast actually... just look at FoE... but anyway, yeah that Human Ranger has been in the ECS, and the Player's Guide. Looks like adventuring is taking its toll. His hair keeps getting grayer.
