| MrFilthyIke12-31-04, 02:50 PM | That's good question, I want Halfling Camel Riders! :D |
| Emirikol12-31-04, 04:38 PM | Halflings can keep their dino's. I'm just wondering about those other animals: camels, elephants, mammoths, tigers, lions, monkeys, Yeti, etc. Camels mostly. jh |
| Bluebrush12-31-04, 04:44 PM | If the DM wants there to be camels, then there are. You could put them in Xen'drik, Sarlona... The blade desert would be good. (Just because the halflings use dinosaurs and the elves use horses it doesn't mean no-one ever reared Camels for desert journies. South-eastern Cyrians probably did.) |

According to the ECS, camels are found in Argonessen and Seren regions. |
| Emirikol01-01-05, 02:44 PM | Ok, that answers it then. Camels, although they might be found on Khorvaire, are not native to that land (as specified in the Druid animal companions charts). The same holds true for elephants (and I suppose Mammoth's too). There's no pre-history of ice age right? There are also no random wilderness encounter charts for each of the regions..hmmm..might be a project for the MohWriters yahoogroup :) jh |
| ThanisKartaleon01-01-05, 03:13 PM | An excellent idea!n Although I'm not the original poster, I was real curious, and so I took a look. According to the ECS, camels are found in Argonessen and Seren regions. And the Adaran/Reidran regions. So you could have a Kalashtar Psion/Druid with an awakened camel companion... The same holds true for elephants (and I suppose Mammoth's too). There's no pre-history of ice age right? Actually there in fact was no ice age on Eberron. This is why the dinosaurs are still around. Mammoths pretty much evolved because of the ice age, however, so you'd most likely only find them on the Frostfell (though of course I could be wrong, and there could be a grand Thranish tradition of going on mammoth hunts...). Elephants, however, are found on Aerenal, Argonnessen/Seren, and Xen'drik. I figure they started on Xen'drik, that the elves took a few with them when they migrated because they make good pack animals and feirce defenders, and the dragons took a herd or two over because they make a good midnight snack when they're up late discussing the Prophecy. |
