The White Sorcerer 06-07-04, 02:09 PM	As you can see, the name of the Fellowship has changed. It is now named after a species of dinosaur that was involded in the group's first encounter. But that's a story for another time and place. -------------------------------------------------- Jedi barely dodged the shifter as it zoomed past him. "They're moving." The gnome under the blanket snored. "I said they're moving," repeated Stone Dog. The gnome under the blanket mumbled in his sleep. The warforged let out a metallic sigh. This wasn't the first time he had had trouble waking up his sorcerous companion, but the time and place wasn't the best for it. The Fellowship had been running from a hostile group of Valenar mercenaries for several days now (due to a misunderstanding involving a group of elf maidens and a particularily hungry shifter) and had stopped for a brief rest when their pursuers camped for the night. Now the Valenar warband was once again on the move. The gnome under the blanket scratched his dragonmark. Stone Dog let out another metallic sigh and strapped the gnome to the gnome's pony. Jedi barely dodged the warforged and pony as they zoomed past him. The morning sun gleamed on Stone Dog's mithral-laced body as he ran alongside the galloping pony. "I protest!" cried the White Sorcerer. "This is a blatant misuse of a pony/rope combination!" "You've only got yourself to blame, Whitey," the warforged answered. "Those Valenar have horses, so I couldn't really waste time waiting for you to wake up, could I?" The gnome frowned. "Do you underestimate my mount? Got her from house Vadalis, ya know." "Even that magebred pony of yours isn't fast enough to outrun Valenar horses," said a voice originating in the direction of Stone Dog's back. "They'll catch us if we can't think of a way to hide from them." Jedi barely dodged the Valenar warband as it zoomed past him. This was definately not his day. --------------------------------------------------- That's it for the preview. More to come when I can find the time to write something proper. Comments welcome.

Or dismemberment by angry elves? These thoughts and more will be answered by Thinktank: Warforged Telepath when we get back. Now for commercials! Announcer: Minions of Xoriat infesting your garden? Hey, it takes some serious ad revenue to keep quality posts like this coming on a regular basis. Anyhoo; really, do you have some more of these? Maybe a backstory? Even just a synopsis? It's got a good, Eberron-y feel, pretty much how I'd imagine some campaigns to sound. Except, knowing some of my players, a lot more combat and a new cast member every episode. Make more- the audience commands you!

The White Sorcerer 06-08-04, 02:30 PM	"I hope you've got some brilliant idea, axeboy," said the White Sorcerer, "'cause we're kinda running out of time here. And I'm highly uncomfortable right now." "Well can't you turn us invisible or something?" answered the not-so-mysterious voice from the general direction of Stone Dog's back. "You ARE a sorcerer, right?" The White Sorcerer rolled his eyes. "Oh, sure, oh almighty Singing Urgrosh, I'll turn us invisible," he said. "The problem is, my hands are kinda tied at the moment." Singing Urgrosh sighed. "Let me loose, Stone Dog." Stone Dog opened the buckle on the leather strap that held Singing Urgrosh, a magical dwarven weapon. The adamantine axe/spear combination let out a squeal of excitement as it hovered next to Rognar the pony. In a matter of seconds, the White Sorcerer was lying on the ground along with his belongings. Mad Mink stopped running. This was not a conscious choice made by the shifter. "It is easy to dodge a spear that comes in front of you but hard to keep harms away from an arrow shot from behind," said the old man Mad Mink had bumped into. "Running away again?" "You?" said Mad Mink in surprise. "I thought you were imprisoned by House Kundarak, Myriddin." "Paper can't wrap up fire," said Myriddin the sage. Mad Mink laughed. "So you still think of yourself as the ultimate bringer of truth, eh?" Myriddin smiled. Mad Mink was already running. "Wherever you go, there you are," said Myriddin under his breath.
