First month of the year? Starting Date for a campaign. [Archive] - Wizards Community

I was wondering, is Zarantyr the first month of the Eberron calendar?

Also, I was wonderinf what month most Dm's start their games in. I opend my big mouth already and started in early summer, so it's Nymm for me right now, how about you?

Also, how important to you guys play the moons off in your campagin. I just use them so that the players know what month it is, other than that, I don't think i've even really spoken of them.

11-19-06, 10:47 AM I'm not sure which month is which, but it's covered at the start of the "Life in the world" chapter of the ECS.

And don't forget the Moons Dragonshard in the article section.

11-19-06, 10:59 AM Started my game in late Nymm, it's now progressed to early Vult. Haven't done anything with the moons, though. You may want to play around with the calendar app (http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebwe/20041129a) that WotC so kindly provided a while back - I find it very useful indeed.

Personlly i run it so that it is = March precisely to avoid the problems of adventuring in Karrn in the dead of Winter. I've had a tendancy to assign "Downtime" Over the winter months so only summer adventuring for me!
