foiling true seeing [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-08-05, 06:36 PM Not specifically Eberron, though I believe I read of the specific device in an Eberron book but can't, for the life of me, recall where: what is the magic item that allows, say, a dragon agent of the Chamber to foil detection magic such as true seeing, etc?

12-08-05, 08:19 PM It's in the Sharn Citybook, and the succubus on Hellcow's sight owns one. It's called a Mask of the Misplaced Aura. Fairly pricey too...needs Mind Blank to work accurately.

12-09-05, 03:17 AM In Dragon 337 (last month i think) there's a spell called Claok of Khyber. It masks our alignment and protects you from trueseeing but only if you've been in the disguises's form for 6 hours or more.
Real handy for changlings, dopplegangers etc. it may even work with invisibility, but i'd have to check that...
