For peace [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-30-06, 06:03 PM In my champain, the last war 2 is on the horizon partly because of the players' actions. Though now, the champain has switched to a pro-peace stance and through direct action. They want to help peace. Or atleast stunt the growth of the war. What are some of your guys' suggestions on what to present them as task for them to do inorder to provide a peace. Volience has been accepted as forms of a lesser evil by the group. Any ideas?

1. Take down the monarchy in Breland and install a non-monarchial related government.

2. Get Jaela to condemn the war and the quest for the Throne of Galifar. She can't inherit it after all.

3. Expose Kaius as a vampire and then make sure his grandson is dead to destroy the Wynarn lineage as Karrnath's rulers.

4. Make an alliance so powerful than Aurala will realize she can never conquer the other nations.

A lot of what they can do for peace really depends on what they did that started the snowball of war a rolling.

08-30-06, 06:39 PM Organize a second Thronehold. Seriously. This has the greatest PC potential. They'll have to gain an audience with many major players and then convince them it is in their interest to pursue peace and that it is safe and useful for them to meet at Thronehold and hash out the differences again. I'd start with Kaius and then Boranel as they seem the most likely to pursue peace.

This would give them a whole lot of power to change the world. Do they invite the Hags or leave them out again? They may have to act as escorts for many dignitaries including queens and kings. Then there are the less combat oriented difficulties of diplomacy for the less combat oriented characters. They'd have to protect the summit and keep things going smoothly. Well you can see where it leads.

08-31-06, 06:07 AM I edited my first post and also want to suggest that truly altruistic PCs could offer themselves up as sacrifical lambs. Congratulations your characters are going to Dreadhold. :D
