Will be starting my group fresh in Eberoon in the next month or so, so I'm going through the first campaign with a fine toothed comb, looking for the loopholes that I know they will try to find.

So I came across something I was hoping for clarification on, and maybe just to comment on.

Comments
1: Lady Elaydren doe not introduce herself to the party in the commmunication text, yet there is a part that says "Lady Elaydren says" Had to add my own intro dialog. However, how would she introduce herself? Would giving her full name betray who she's really working for?

2: The journal. The whole paragraph with her handling the journal is confusing. It says if the players do not have it, she gives it to them.. If they do have it, she asks them to give it to her to look through. Is this implying that she does not look at it if she got it from the watch? Also, when she hands them the journal, will it revert to blank pages? If not, then there's a whole slew of questions. What's in the diary, what language is it written in?..

That's it for now. Will add as I find more to pick apart ;)

1. Her name is Elaydren d'Vown, not d'Cannith. I don't see how that would give away anything, and anyway it's not a big secret that she is with House Cannith. Regardless of the name you use it won't give away that she's working for Merrix.

2. If she already has the journal, it means she's looked through it prior to the meeting with the PCs. The pages are blank unless someone with the proper ring is holding the book.

If you think that TFF has some ambiguities, you should check some of the posts discussing Shadows of the Last War and Whispers of the Vampires Blade. Good adventures and my party has enjoyed all three adventures to date, but you'll have to definitely pre-read them and have contingency plans ready if your party tends to surprise you.

Aye, I've glanced over Shadows, and it has me somewhat worried. The whole Mournlands trip is very odd for such a low level party.. Going to be hard to convince them to go in without an army behind them *chuckles*

Actually it is d'Cannith. This was corrected in the Shadows of the Last War module, and should be pointed out in the ECS eratta.

I peronsonally had no problem with her last name bing d'Vown as I don't think that every member of House Cannith needs to have the surname d'Cannith, but the naming scheme does not necessarily fit in with the surname bullet in the ECS so it was converted

Ehh..one of my players caught on instantly that he was supposed to use the journal to open the trapped door. He simply thought she had kept it..and I couldn't find where it says she gave it back to them. Other problems..I thought running modules would be easier..and I guess it is kinda with me being relatively new to DMing, but after this series of 4 I think I am going to stick to doing my own campaigns/adventures.

My party was terrified over heading into the Mournland. As they journeyed through I made sure that they caught glimpses of cadaver collectors and WF Titans en route to Whitehearth. They were terrified.

Actually It is Elaydren d'Cannith, the ECS is in error. Technicallly her full name is Eladren Vown d'Cannith. She would commonly go by Eladren d'Cannith, or if she were trying to hide her dragonmarked status, Eladren Vown.
